I was in a draft today, the first time I've ever done one of these. I kinda like doing this after week one, I would never have picked up somebody like Drew Bennett without having seen firsthand. 15 players. I've figured out who to start this week already.

    QB: McNair (vs Raiders)
    WR: Coles
    WR: Drew Bennett (vs Chargers)
WR: Roy Williams (vs Bears. I only have 4 WR, Steve Smith is questionable)
    RB: Steven Jackson (vs SF)
    RB: Shawn Alexander (vs Arizona)
    TE: Antonio Gates (vs Titans)
K: Jeff Wilkins (vs SF. After Sunday, who wouldn't take him?)
    D: Falcons (vs Tampa)

bench (too many QBs. Trades to come.)
Steve Smith, Pennington, Chris Brown, Mike Anderson, John Kitna, Mark Brunell. I seriously think of starting Anderson at RB against the Raiders ahead of Sean Alexander.

HOW THE HELL DO YOU HAVE THIS TEAM IN A 15 MAN LEAGUE!?!?!?!?!

And bad move getting rid of Roy Williams, especially for McCardell.....

And cutting Chris Brown probably wasn't a good idea, you could've traded him to a team with weak RB's for a WR better than Cotchery....

    Nice pickup on McGahee though

Theres only 8 teams, and a few of these guys had no clue. I had to do this over the phone, so I was lost too; asking about several players with every pick, not knowing who was already gone.

I really let Roy Williams go because of the Bears defense this week, I was forced to start him and wanted a better matchup. Chris Brown will most likely be there as a FA if I ever want him later. And I don't know if I will get McGahee or not, I believe players have to clear waivers down to me. I think that's how it works, having never done this before.

edit: it turns out Chris Brown has a turf-toe injury from the game Sunday. He's questionable for this week. And you know how bad turf toe can be, he may not be the same all year.

I picked up Cotchery and Marquis Colston as FAs for next week. I waived Brunell and McCardell. Colston counts as TE and WR, San Diego has a bye next week. That means I had to sit Gates and McCardell did nothing for me this week. BTW, I did pick up Cotchery last week, but then voided the deal when I saw Kurt Warner was still sitting there undrafted. I had to set my lineups for the next 2 weeks because I will be out of town from this Saturday until next Sunday. So here's my starters for the next 2 weeks:

    Week 3
QB- Kurt Warner vs St. Louis
    WR- Coles at Buffalo
    WR- Drew Bennett at Miami
    WR- Cotchery at Buffalo
    RB- Steven Jackson at Arizona
RB- Willis McGahee vs Jets (You know we can't stop the run, c'mon)
    TE- Marquis Colston vs Atlanta
    K- Jeff Wilkins at Arizona
    Def- Atlanta at New Orleans

bench- Antonio Gates (bye) Steve McNair (at Cleveland) Shawn Alexander (vs Giants) Pennington (at Buffalo, that defense scares me) Steve Smith (still questionable) Domenic Rhodes (vs Jacksonville)

    Week 4
    QB- Chad Pennington vs Indianapolis
    WR- Coles vs Indy
    WR- Cotchery vs Indy
    WR- Drew Bennett vs Dallas
    RB- Steven Jackson vs Detroit
    RB- Domenic Rhodes at Jets
    TE- Marquis Colston at Carolina
    K- Jeff Wilkins vs Detroit
    Def- Atlanta vs Arizona

bench- Kurt Warner (at Atlanta) Willis McGahee (vs Minnesota) Antonio Gates (at Baltimore, a team I don't plan on starting anybody against this year  ) Steve McNair (vs San Diego) Shawn Alexander (at Chicago) and Steve Smith (vs New Orleans. I would start him, but I don't know if he will play by then)

And when I went through from week to week, I noticed a trend in how many times Atlanta's defense will play offensive powerhouses and how I would never be using McNair (Penny and Warner look to be a good alternating team) so I waived McNair for Buffalo's defense as a FA. As long as Steve Smith comes back in a few weeks, I shouldn't have to make any more moves, barring injury...well, except for those darn bye weeks  At least I have Drew Bennett; I can waive him and pick him back up without any problems. Chad and Kurt have the same bye week.
