hey y'all, i have a draft tonight at 7:45. The #8 pick. Was wondering if I could get some advice on what players to target there. This is only my 2nd year in FF; last year I did very well with the #5 pick. but this year i'm not sure who has good value at 8. Any advice, ASAP, would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
Moss and Barber i have on my board for sure, though for some reason, i have a gut feeling, Moss won't perform like he did last year, due to injury or whatever else. what about Braylon?
Moss definitely won't play like he did last year, but should still put up big numbers. I'm a little down on Edwards especially now that Derek Anderson is still hasn't practiced since the concussion and you should be able to get him on the wrap around.
Especially Frank Gore. Martz is the OC there now and we all know what he did with Jackson and especially Marshall Faulk. Gore has the same ability to catch and run. I expect a combined close to 2000 yards and 14 TDs.
I hope you're right, since I got him as my #2 HB. Unfortunately I'm worried about the 49ers being a terrible team in general.
what's the deal with Cotchery? is R4 too early for him. i remember seeing his stats, and each year they've increased. with Favre throwing to him and a better OL (and better D which give the O more opportunity), i can see him having a very good year.
I'd say 5th-6th, but you know what, his upside with Favre is high enough that taking him in the 4th is not a blown pick.
Don't let your heart take the place of your brain. R4 is a little high for Cotch. At that point you should still be able to nab a top QB or a WR in the 12-15 range. Cotch right now is around No. 20
yeah, it's hard not to be biased 'n all. but he's the only Jet player i'd consider taking that high -- maybe even at all, for that matter. 15 minutes! f**k....

yeah, last year i came in 2nd and won a nice bit of cash. i had the hot Adrian Peterson pick in like the 3rd or 4th round, along with Barber and McGahee (eh...), but this year i don't think i'll be so lucky to land a guy like AP.
You don't need to tell me twice. I was basically forced to take Favre AND Cotch in my league. The value for when I got them was just too good to pass up. Favre in the 4th (Keeper league it's like getting him in the 6th) and Cotch in the 5th (like getting him in the 7th)
oh nice. yeah, the value is where it's at. well at least you'll benefit from when we explode for 40 points in a game haha. btw, what does "keeper league mean"?
In my league I actually was planning on reaching for Cotchery in the 5th but someone grabbed him in the third. Saved me from myself possibly. That or made an awesome reach steal.
at the end of the year we can keep up to 2 players on our roster for next year. Everyone else we have gets put back into the draft pool. Look at what I had to choose from Romo Barber McGahee Jamal Lewis Colston Wayne Torry Holt... I kept Barber and McGahee
