Anyone else think the Jets may draft this kid late in the draft? perhaps 6th or 7th round? His father did win a superbowl ring as a member of the Ravens when Rex was the DC there.

I've seen this kid play in college. He was a 4 year starter on Bloomsburg's DII basketball team, holding school records for blocks and rebounds as a center, and then joined the football team for his final 2 years of athletic eligibility. Even though he hadn't played football since high school, in his first season, he broke a school record for sacks in a single season. In his second season, he became the schools all-time sacks leader if i'm not mistaken. I've even seen him line-up as a TE and WR in the redzone and catch TD's and 2-point conversion attempts. All around excellent athlete with NFL bloodlines tied to Rex Ryan.

Great research there, @roboz08. Given everything that you've written, it might be that the Gets would give Webster a camp invite as a UDFA.

Yeah he was a very consistent guy in DII... I think he was actually going to come out last year I remember he played in one of the All-Star games. I think it was the NFLPA game and either got a sack or a really good pressure from LE in that game. Must have not signed an agent because he went back to school (obviously). Had another good year last year. When I watch him play he looks a lot better going forward than he does going back... not sure how he'll convert to OLB. He did the OLB drills at the combine and looked kind of... eh. I think his best spot is probably a rush end from the left or right side in a 4-3. JMO.

Given his lack of experience and playing at Div II, he sounds like a good UDFA and practice squad guy.
