I loved it. He clearly has no reason to give a shit, so why not? Being a Raiders hater shouldn't involve hating Lane at this point.
I don't think it made a difference because they were going to punt anyway and it went just as far as a punt would have.
At this point, I just feel bad for Kiffin. He seems like a nice guy and it's wrong the way Davis is jerking him around.
lil bit, but I like the fact that he makes moves and says things that say Fuck You to Al Davis, and if he were to get fired tomorrow, give him some sort of position on the Jets -- Guy has potential, and a good young mind. 76 yard field goal?? Awesome.
sounds like man-love to me He does seem to be a promising coach. It's cool that he's sticking it to the old codger, but isn't he violating some sort of professional code by doing so. I don't think he's mailing it in, but understandable if he is. He's young, he'll learn.
Kiffin is holding that team together and they do have some talent. Kif is doing better than you would expect for someone who only got the job cuz no one else would take it.

I saw his presser after finishing dinner. After being grilled about whether or not he thinks he's going to be fired this week, he pretty much said he can't worry about that, and he's just going to keep doing what he's been doing. Pretty ballsy. Davis is this team's own worst enemy. I don't think many Raiders fans will shed a tear if he gets committed to a nursing home or passes away. I don't mean that with ill intent. I just think it's a truism at this point.
Kiffin isn't the problem. I actually believe that he could help turn that franchise around with a different owner. Nobody with any real crudentials is going anywhere near that job, they've got to hire from the inside - and that's exactly what that franchise doesn't need. Is anyone else skeptical that Al is even really alive? I Think he died years ago and a Bronco fan has been standing behind him with a stick in his back doing his best to drive the Raiders to the ground.
It's taking jeaux longer and longer to show up and defend Crazy Al these days... I wonder if my Week 5 Jeaux Disappearance prediction was too conservative.
I feel bad for Kiffen... I actually think he can be a good coach... I gotta laugh at the way he's fucking with Al though... Lane Kiffen has become the Peter Gibbons of the NFL... "I'm gonna have to ask you to leave Al. I got a meeting with the Bob's in a few minutes."
On the radio this morning(WDAE): Crazy Al is currently interviewing for the head-coaching job of the Oakland Raiders. Kiffin is still the head coach of the Oakland Raiders. Have you seen a picture of Al Davis lately?
