Warning -I'm not bashing our beloved Revis Christ. Read before you comment. Here are the stats for Darrelle Revis -5 Tackles, 1 Pass Defense. Reggie Wayne - 3 Receptions for 33 yards. Long 12 yards. Also Revis had a Penalty Flag thrown at him for 'illegal contact'. This is obviously a joke thread, but I find it stunning that these stats basically represent his worst performance all season. I think many other corners in the NFL would KILL to have 1 game like Revis had yesterday. So this was obviously the worst performance by our beloved Pro Cornerback. This really has been an amazing year for this guy who is only in his 3rd year. Guy is truly a fucking monster on the field. And hell all I can say is he will get better & I hope he signs the contract after next year(I believe his deal is up at that point.)
it was his worst performance because he almost got beat for about a 40 yd play. I think Rhodes would have tackled Wayne although who knows with Rhodes inability to tackle. the quick pass that Peyton missed Wayne for a TD was not defendable so I'm not even looking at that play.
if you were to ask Revis Christ, he'd probably say dropping that int against falcons last week at the end of the game was his worst moment in his nfl career. we lost one game due to revis. sorry, had 2b said.
Wow, really??? What is wrong with you?? You've been user banned now, you can't post until you write a letter of apology to all that have read your post.
There are so many plays in a football game. Saying ONE single play made us lose the game is the stupidest fucking thing you could ever say. How about giving up a first down? Missing 3 field-goals? The plays that lead to field-goal attempts, and NOT touchdowns.
Wayne's longest reception was not against Revis, so Revis allowed 2 catches the whole game. Being open doesn't matter if your QB doesn't deliver and you don't catch, Revis allowed 2 catches to a pro bowl receiver and the best QB in the NFL, and then shut down Collie the rest of the game. It might have been one of his worse games, but for any other CB in the NFL it'd be the game of their season.
I think y'all are arguing two different points. In overall terms, Revis had a great day today, but by his own standards it was one of his weaker performances this season. The ending statline is deceiving because of drop/overthrows. I'm actually glad he had a game like this, as it will keep him sharp, knowing that he's got to continue to put all he's got into every game. It's gonna be a dark day for OchoCinco (either next week, or in the playoffs).
you know what's so interesting about revis? you very rarely if ever hear him comment in the media.. i love this guy he's all business
roddy white was on changing to rev.christian after last game, said he was the best cb he's ever faced, but yet revis lost us the game?
He had a decent game for his standards, which is still godly. However, I thought he had to have a dominating performance for the stupid DPOY voters to choose him, although he deserves it.
I heard a guy yesterday on the radio saying if your WR is going against Revis in fantasy to bench him because the most you can hope for is 4 receptions and 40 yards on a good day. This guy had nothing but high praise for Revis. Said there is no other CB in the league even close to demanding that type of respect. Then threw this out... Shut down Andre Johnson, Randy Moss X2, Roddy White, Steve Smith, Owens X2, Colston, and Bryant. All Pro Bowl WR. You add Wayne another PB guy.
revis' game was worse than the stats show. he did get burned pretty badly, but he bounced back and still played very well overall. the fact that getting burned once is news shows just how great he is.
