    02. LIONS - Calvin Johnson, WR GT
    - Interesting... Certainly the BPA... I'd LOVE to see this happen.

    12. BILLS - Paul Posluszny, LB PSU(Rumor has it they like him)
    - Nice choice here and at this spot, but not over Patrick Willis

    16. PACKERS - Marshawn Lynch, RB, California
    - Eh, I don't like Marshawn Lynch here

    24. PATRIOTS - Jon Beason, LB Miami
    - Is he a good 3-4 fit?

    26. EAGLES - Robert Meachem, WR Tenn
    - I think he's probably the #2 WR in this draft

    30. CHARGERS - Justin Harrell, DT Tenn
    - Interesting choice here... Do they need a 3-4 DE with Igor Olshanky on one end and Luis Castillo on the other?

    32. COLTS - Eric Wright, CB UNLV
    - If James David signs on with the Saints, than this makes plenty of sense... I like this idea, but I think they'd go with Josh Wilson.

    Overall, solid job.

  3. Thanks for the feedback

    1. I agree about Willis, but i read somewhere else that the Bills love Posluszny, possibly even over Willis. and based on last year's selections of WHitner and McCargo, they arent afraid to go against the grain.

    2. Packers are one of the harder teams to predict this year. I just feel like they'll be looking to add another playmaker on O to entice Favre.

    3. Bellichick will be looking to add another LB in the 1st round. Most likely someone who can mold into a MLB. Beason has the frame and attributes to eventually be a 3-4 LB. And w/ bellichick's time frame, it may not even matter. if anything he'll be a good special teamer and situational guy for the short term.

    4. The Chargers don't really have any glaring needs, and the small needs they do have, dont offer much value at that point. You can never have enough guys for a 3-4 DL rotation, and Harrell's value is just red hot at that spot.

5.It could very well be Wilson, but I guess I just see a team taking a shot at a guy w/ some special talent, like wright, who they can afford to be patient w/.

Actually, they have some needs to fill IMO.

At ILB, Randall Godfrey is about 35 and Donnie Edwards was cut, so they need some youth fast. I would go for David Harris ILB Michigan possibly at 30.

At WR, Keenan McCardell is about 37 and they have some decent WRs in Eric Parker and Vincent Jackson, but a guy like Dwayne Jarrett or Anthony Gonzalez could be options.

In the secondary, specifically safety, they cut Terrence Kiel and were supposedly disapointed with Marlon McCree. Eric Weddle and Michael Griffin could be options...

    Just something to think about...

  5. Those are def. some needs..although the only one I really see as glaring is WR. I admittedly forgot about jarret and may eventually change that pick. The other spots of need I ws aware of, but no one really fits the bill in terms of value. I see Harris as a mid 2nd/ early 3rd rounder, and anyone from the safety position at that spot are about 5 picks too early in terms of value.

With the new crackdown on player conduct I don't think it is likely that players like Wright are picked that high.

    02. LIONS - Calvin Johnson, WR GT - Perhaps you should account for trades and swap this pick with the Bucs? The Lions won't take him but they'll get a LOT for him.

    03. BROWNS - Brady Quinn, QB ND - I think he'll end up here... I don't know how much I like that, but I agree.

    04. BUCCANEERS - Joe Thomas, OT Wisconsin - The Bucs will move up for CJ.

    05. CARDINALS - Gaines Adams, DE Clemson - When the Bucs move up, Joe Thomas will fall to the Cards.

    06. REDSKINS - Amobi Okoye, DT louisville - If they're smart they'll trade down with New England or another team with a lot of picks. NE is the best idea cause they can use one of the first rounders and trade one away or use both.

    08. FALCONS - Adrian Peterson, RB OU - I don't see the Vikings passing on AP after all the articles I've seen saying that they'd love to have him with Chester Taylor.

    12. BILLS - Paul Posluszny, LB PSU - Interesting pick here but they won't pass on Marshawn Lynch.

    16. PACKERS - Marshawn Lynch, RB, California - Unless NO trades up for him, Greg Olsen goes to Green Bay.

    20. GIANTS - Lawrence Timmons, LB FSU - This is a good pick for NYG although this is a hard call between Timmons, Staley and Ross.

    25. NY JETS - Justin Blalock, G Texas -

Kurt, great mock. This is my first year not doing one(work is sucking my will to live) but I've been following the players and trends, and I've just got a few criticisms.

1.Where is Jamaal Anderson? Do you see him dropping out of round one? Most projections have him in the top ten.

    2. 8) Atlanta- Adrian Peterson- While Blank might like selling a Peterson/Vick backfield to fans, I feel like the Falcons are inclined to go DL here. Grady Jackson is pissed off, John Abraham is fairly likely to get hurt, and Chauncey Davis certainly isn't a pass rusher.

3)Giants- The Giants just signed Kawika Mitchell and plan to play him outside. Mitchell is young and will be an average starter. That said, they're playing David Diehl at left tackle right now. Do you think they'll pass on Staley if he's available?

4)Chargers- Harell is a nice defensive lineman, but the Chargers have Williams, Olshansky, Castillo, and Cesaire in place already. I get your point about Dlineman in a 3-4, but I think they could use a guy with an opportunity to make a more immediate impact.

If the board looks like this, I can't see the Chargers passing on Dwayne Jarret. He would make an immediate impact and would improve their weak WRs

If the Jets can draft Jamaal Anderson, they should. Nice bookend for Ellis.

  12. Some great points and I cant believe I forgot about Anderson.(This is one of the reasons i posted this..I wanna make sure my mock is perfect for my bet). I def. have some changes to make.

  13. The mock has been updated for continued comments

    Aren't the 49ers switching to the 3-4?

If they do, I think Carriker will be their pick.

    - Alan Branch is drafted at #18 and #32 now.

    - Adam Carricker will not slip to #22. He should be at #22 and Carricker to San Fran at #11. Either way, Dallas has no need for a 3-4 DE. If Carricker fell that far the case could be made, but that's doubtful.

dude the packers are goin for lynch without a question im telling you right now.

they have NOBODY at RB. greg jennings is blooming into a quality starter and driver has a few years to buy them time before they need address WR early. it will be RB. with Favre retiring soon, theyll need to take a top back and hope he generates offense till their next franchise qb steps up.

    agreed.

the cowboys are going WR/CB.....both of their biggest needs. owens is aging, as well as terry glenn. also, the immortal aaron glenn at CB needs a replacement. with the signing of ken hamlin the spot at Safety isnt as glaring a need as its made to be.

    WR or CB
