How do you guys feel about drafting him? I think with TJ now getting older it would be nice to give him a look and once TJ's contract up he can step in. I think he is the best RB in this draft (pretty must a consensus) and maybe better than D-Mac and co of last year (sorry if this is blasphemy). After Maclin and Vontae, I think knowshon would be a good pick at 17.

Not near the talent level of D-Mac comming out of school, but Moreno has the skills to be a very good back for a very long time. That said I would not be in love with drafting him at 17. We have several holes to fill in other areas. Safty, Corner, Widereceiver, QB and possibly OL all need looked at ahead of RB This season. Free agency may change a ton of that so this could be a entirely different angle in a few weeks.

We have other more pressing needs than running back. Knowshon would be a luxury pick, and we have serious needs on defense and wide reciever.

I like Moreno a lot. It sounds like he gained about 10 lbs. of muscle for the combine, but his speed was hurt by it; he ran slower than Beanie Wells. The clock manager for the RB 40's seemed to be slow, but this comparison worries me a bit. I'd still take him or McCoy over Wells, though.

I'm not opposed to going RB in the first, but I'd rather go defense if at all possible, probably with a CB. I think Sean Smith is going to shoot up boards after his workout and as a S/CB hybrid, he'd be a great fit for Ryan's D, which relies on flexibility. If we go offense, I'd rather go Maclin if he's there or trade back and grab Nicks at the end of the first.

say if maclin or other WR's of elite status or vontae davis are gone... is there a pressing need that has better value at 17 than moreno?
