What do you guys think about him? Ive been wanting the Jets to grab a quick speed 3 down for a while, I just think that their more successful in the NFL. The combine opened my eyes to Knile Davis. I don't watch college football, so I don't know much about anyone until I heat their name and look up some games. The combine got me to look some of this guys games up, and I liked what I saw. He's pretty bog at 220+ lbs but runs a 4.37 40. He looks like he runs with power and definitely runs fast. I don't know much about how he is catching the football, but I did see him grab some screens. I have heard that he's had some injuries, and I think a fumbling problem? Someone who knows more about this kid, fill us in.
Davis was a 4 star recruit coming out of HS. He's had only one real healthy year in his career between HS and college. He was a stud though that year. He dominated the SEC. He's got the ability obviously, but IMO is an automatic pass due to his injury history. Two broken ankles and a broken collar bone? Not a good sign for a RB.
Damn those are some pretty bad injuries for a RB. Would you still take him though in.the later rounds?
What about Le'Veon Bell? Where is he projected to go? Any major issues with him? I've liked what I've seen of him so far but only watched a few games and some highlight packs of him. His combine results seemed pretty good, though. Obviously depends on the spot he falls to but if he was available mid-third round and we've already picked up two of OLB/DE/WR I would think that could be a good pickup.
Good to know.. I guess he's not the RB that were looking for. I know this draft is supposed to be loaded on RBs, so maybe we should turn this thread into possible RBs in the draft. Of it hasn't been already made of course.
Beyond the pass blocking, and the injuries, he has an incredible propensity to fumble. There are other backs available who might not have comparable physical skills, but ball security is paramount for a running back, and I don't trust this guy enough to carry the load. -X-
