Actually shocked turned on to the Brady channel (NFLN) that is..And they are showing a classic Jets game just came on at 4.1989 Jets vs LA Raiders if anyone is interested.
If I remember correctly that was a crap game and the Jets lost. I listened to it on Armed Forces radio in my student digs in England.
If it's 1989 this would be a MNF game. It was Art Shell's first game as a head coach - the first black head coach. That's gotta be the " classic " reasoning because ukjetsfan is right - the game was crap. The Jets lost 14-7 on an INT return for a TD which basically ended their season at 1-4. This was Joe Walton's final year as HC and a massive rebuild ensued following the season......
