Probably already posted, but you know what, too bad. One thing I found interesting is the first entry. The New York Jets have elevated Vanderbilt QB Jay Cutler above Texas QB Vince Young in draft order because of Young's poor score on the Wonderlic test. Meaning that before the Wonderlic, Young was ranked above Cutler, meaning that when he retakes the Wonderlic, if he can boost his score, he might be elevated above Cutler again. What I got from this is that previously we were not afraid of taking Young, should he fall to us. People were saying hes not a Mangini type of player, but apparently thats not the case. Itll be interesting to see how this plays out Also, out of curiosity, whats our cap looking like right now?
This wonderlic stuff is getting old. Someone posted Dan Marino's score as a 16. 16 people. Remember how that bad score whooped on us twice a year? Forget the test. If we can get Young we get Young. Because as much as this test lowered Young's position in the draft it also helped raise Cutler's stock. I would hate to be watching the draft, see us get Cutler and have everyone on TV say "Sure Young is a rare physical specimen but Cutler is better at taking tests and we all know how important pen and paper are on the football field".
Supposedly we are under the cap because of those moves stated above. And by cutting mawae or whoever else we will have more cap room to sign 1 or 2 FA's.
This is an important thread.... I have not read anywhere else that all these guys restructured their contracts.... that is BIG news! If they get the Pennington deal done, we could be well under the cap.
