His best years were with the Gang Green and we did draft him add to that we 'Gave Him the Damn Ball' So he should be saying 'We'

Still love Keyshawn. One of my favorite all-time Jets.

    Never hated Key....

when I played football in high school he gave a speech at one of our team dinners

He signed my dress shirt lol

He was the first pro athlete I got to meet up close...

    Thanks Key!!

...it sounded like Cris Carter was mocking him after he said it too.

Carter can go suck a dick - everyone knows he wants the Vikings to win it all.

I like Weshawn though.... I'm more curious as to his breakdown of the game though.

I still don't understand the hate for Keyshawn from Jets fans. He was a great Jet that never wanted to leave when he did. He was a big part of changing the culture around this team.

Love Key and love that he referred to the Jets as we.

The hatred of him is based around his infamous book as a rookie and his hatred of Chrebet. Not to mention whining his way out of town when Parcells left.

That said I always appreciated his talent and I dunno there's something about him that I can't really hate even in spite of all of the above. Maybe it's because he's genuine or has a personality. Or just because he was a darn good player for us.

It went beyond Chrebet. He buried O'Donnell too. In fact, he buried every white player on the team. When the Jets went to TB for that first game, only the black players were invited to his "dinner reception". I think he's grown up since then, at least a little, but I hated him when he was here, and I don't like him any more now. He was JUST like Kerry Rhodes. Or T Owens. A PURE ME player.

Ryan wouldn't even let him play on this team. Gruden send him home. He was bad news, a team cancer. The Jets knew it, and traded him. TB knew it and sent him home. My question is why does anyone like this guy?

Wasn't he talking about "we" just a couple of years ago when speaking about the Cowboys?

I was miserable when he got traded to TB. Despite the issues, he was an awesome asset to the Jets teams in the late 90s and he probably cherishes his moments with Gang Green as his favorite football seasons.

Because he was a damn good receiver in his day.

And as for his character problems, look around the NFL. I'll take the diva over the scores of drug abusers and thugs who don't cause trouble in the lockerroom.
