Let me say I wish you a great game and may there be no injuries on either side. I am looking for Jet fans keys to the game as well. I think our defense must get to Sanchez, and rattle him all game long. I think on offense we will have to get the wildcat going with different looks as Ryan get defense it very well. We must show looks that have not been seen before and be successful. We must complete passes with Henne so your defense has to play honest and not stack the box. Our Oline must protect him as well. We need to control the clock, and put 7's on the board, and we will have a chance to win.

What are the keys to the game from a Jets perspective?

    Seems simple to me.

    1) Force the Dolphins to pass by stopping the run.
    2) Protect the ball - can't have another rookie like game from Sanchez.

A big key to this game for us it offensively, we need to control the clock.

The phins cannot run it down our throats if they are behind and our defense is well rested.

If we force the phins to have to abandon the run game early on for whatever reason, we will dominate the game, in all aspects except the scoreboard where we will likely only put up 17-24 points.

Henne sucks when the defense brings pressure.. The Jets bring the most pressure in the league.. if we can shut down ronnie.. ts going to be a long day for the miami offense.. If sanchez can settle down early and not make stupid turnovers.. this game could be over fast...

I think the Jets really need to get their ground game working. Sanchez needs a quiet game because if he is forced to throw too often, and makes a mistake, his confidence could take a knock and it could snowball on him. If the Jets can start picking up four or five yards a pop on the ground I think the offense will settle and put together drives to keep them in control of the game.

I think your keys for the Dolphins are pretty much spot on.

Score 1 more point than the fins.

Expose the wild cat so when the Saints play the fins we have a gameplan to go off of.

Jets keys to the game are simple. Don't give up any points on offense and we'll win this game easily.

As Gregg Williams showed last week, attacking Sanchez is about the most effective way of attacking the Jets O. He indeed attacked and attacked Sanchez - had it not been for that super stellar effort by the defense, the past game had a major blowout written all over it. If the defense scores 14, with as prolific offense as it gets, Saints could have put up well beyond 50.

For this week, I fear exactly the same thing. Dolphins are a good team defensively, with a terrorizing presence at OLB (Porter). Their run D isn't that shabby either, so the whole thing comes down to how Schotty protects Sanchez, which he was pretty much dismal at all season, if you think about it. 8 man front or not, TJ cannot get the run game going. I think it's about time Greene took over as the feature back - he showed he's much more effective than TJ behind exactly the same line, meaning it's not completely the OL's fault that TJ sucks at running the ball this season.

Jets must get the lead as soon as possible, and must get the run game going somehow. If Sanchez is left out there, trying to catch up from behind... it's going to be a long night down there at Miami. He must be protected at all costs.

If you guys do jump out to a bit of a lead early lets say 10 points or so I think one thing that could help us is your inability to run the ball on us and eat clock. It might be one of those games where it feels like you should be winning by more the whole game but you let us hang around and our D/SP comes up with something big at the end to give us a shot.

Like someone else already said on here if you guys do get a ground game going this will turn into a long night for us Fin Fans.

My key to the game is Rex disguising the blitzes. With Pace back in the lineup....this should prove more difficult for the Miami offense to pick up. Pace, Hitman Harris, Scott, E.Smith, The Crazy Cactus (B.Thomas), Rhodes......who's coming at ya?!

We don't know.....and neither will Henne.

Running game is a great way to eat up the clock, but it's not the only to eat up the clock. If you watched Sanchez game up to week 3, you'd notice that he eats up the clock rather well despite the fact that TJ is running like a dogshit. That's more or less because ball control offense consists of either short passing attack or the potent running game - or both. If you get your smashmouth football going in the trenches, and have a big-play receiver, then you have a Air Coryell offense (or should I say Sid Gillman offense) - meaning, you won't have both if you are relying on either one of the elements heavily. In case of Jets offense, it's the short passing attack that keeps the clock moving. Jets do have 3 capable receivers to carry on the short passing attack (Cotchery, Keller and Washington) so it's not like Jets are doomed to failure in that department.
