Some says he doesnt have what it takes to be an NFL caliber Qb others say he could be a sleeper of Brady-like proportions. If hes available late would you take the chance and bring him in to back Sanchez or look to free agency for our #2?

I think the Jets should put together a sign-stealing system and draft a smart QB in the 6th round to hold the clipboard and relay in the opposing defensive signals to the QB before every play. Nobody watches the backup QB when the offense is on the field, and even if they did they'd think the guy holding the clipboard was just relaying offensive signals to the QB, which is exactly why the Patriots did this.

If Kellen Moore could plausibly be a developmental QB then he'd fit the role perfectly.

We just gave Sanchez a pretty decent extension, there is no logical reason for us to draft a qb early on unless we feel like this guy fell and is a huge steal

Kellen Moore is a winner and very smart. that being said, he will have limitations in the NFL. Moore might develop into a starter some day, but I would count on it.

Jet's have no need for Moore, we have Greg Mc and will probably sign a vet like Henne.

Everyone seems to be down on him, as WW85 said all the kid does is make smart decisions and WIN. I would take him late in the draft and let him sit and see what happens. Hell I keep thinking about it, I would draft 4 Boise playes and not be upset about it....

i wouldn't mind seeing this in the later rounds... after watching every one of his starts for the last 4 years i can honestly say he belongs in the nfl.

might not be a starter, but a really good backup for many years.

and the questions about his height are a bit overstated... dont remember many passes being batted down.

If the kid is available in the 6th I say we pull the trigger especially considering were projected to have 3 6th rd. picks. The thought of seeing Chad Henne brought in as a backup in an offense run by Tony Sparano disgusts me.

Would seem a waste given we still have McElroy as our (effectively) rookie project (assuming he can mend some bridges) - that said I dont really care about 6th or 7th round picks.

Mending those bridges is key. Although I agree they are both the same kind of prospect to me.

well tanny goes by the doctrine of drafting a QB every year so maybe this guy will be here.

With a Pennington-like arm, plus the added bonus of being immobile.

I don't know anything about him but 6th round picks should be used for depth something we have a strong lack of at this point. No Thanks.

Yeah, I think Free Agency is the place to find a backup QB.
