I don't disagree with either of you....but somehow I can see someone saying, 'Well, he knows the wind at Giants Stadium, veteran presence to teach the young guys, etc etc. Then they bring him in and he sucks.
Stuckey seems capable in the role that Toomer would fill. I'd only sign him if the team felt that having a veteran at WR would help the unit grow.
We already have that in Clowney. What we really need is a big intimidating superstar who absolutely owns opposing defenses, ala Al Toon.
Why would we pick him up? He doesn't give us anything that we don't already have. He's not the Amani Toomer of 2002. He will likely end up in someplace like Seattle or San Fran who could use a servicable #2 or 3. He's no upgrade over Cotch, Stuckey or the Clown at this point in his career.
Well yeah, but I don't see getting that in the next 5 or 6 days. I do think some speedster with hands of stone could get cut. It might be enough to stretch the defense anyway rather then let them stack the box.
Again... Clowney can stretch the defense and he hasn't dropped a pass yet... why would we want a speedster with hands of stone?
The Giants who need WR help didn't want him and KC who need WR help doesn't want him so I'm not sure it's a good move.
