Damn can't the Mets just have a bad season without extra stuff like this? The 2 late season collapses, Tony Bernazard, firing Willie after he flies across the country...

    And this...The humor is great.

Police: Mets reliever Rodriguez in custody
    31 minutes ago

NEW YORK (AP)—New York Mets relief pitcher Francisco Rodriguez is in custody after what police called a “physical assault” on a family member at Citi Field.

Police say Rodriguez will be charged with third-degree assault.

Police say the incident occurred after the Mets’ 6-2 loss to the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday night. Police say Rodriguez’s father-in-law is in the hospital with a scrape on his face and a bump on his head.

The Mets confirmed there was an incident between Rodriguez and his family, and referred all questions to the police.

Leave it up to the Mets to come up with another absurd way to make their team look ridiculous.
At least the late 70s Yanks and '86 Mets won despite all their absurdities.
This is just fucking brain scratching....who the fuck does this?

Now Jerry Manual has a real excuse for not using K-Rod to close the game, "He was in Central Booking"

K-Rod didn't mean to hurt anyone, his father in law just walked too close to one of his ridiculous celebrations.

    Jose Reyes -

"I don't know exactly what happened. You don't want to see that happen, especially here at the ballpark. I hope he comes clean about what happened because we need him here."

Apparently Jerry wasn't aware of that last night

Kevin Burkhardt was just talking on SNY about the incident...says it happened when KRod and his wife got into an argument, then the father-in-law stepped in. AND all this happened in the family room in front of, among others, Beltran's kids and Reyes' kids. What a piece of shit.

Contract is up at the end of next year, correct? Get this turd out of here ASAP.

KRod would be a hero if he could do that to Fred Wilpon.

So if K-Rod gets convicted and deported back to Venezuela, do the mets still have to pay him?
