It will be interesting to see if he deveopes alot this year...he is so fast and I honestly think that if he imporves alot, he can be a shutdown corner...I have a feeling he will send Dyson to the nickel this year...opinions?

This thread must be a joke.

Miller can't tackle or cover a #2 wide receiver.

    No.

If Miller was that good, no way do we move up for Revis.

The guy can hit on the 10% chance that he doesn't miss the ball carrier.

You're right...he CAN hit, except he gets flagged for PI EVERY TIME he does. As a KO returner he's very good, as a CB he stinks.

Miller can hit. Too bad that always means the receiver catches it first. Then, even if he does hit him, which isn't a given because half the time he misses, he never wraps.

Will you guys get off your "shut down corner" horse? There is no such thing in the league anymore with the new CB rules re contact.

Have you watched Miller play? Seriously? KOR specialist? Sure. CB- in a dime package MAYBE.

    Right now:

    Dyson
    Revis
    Poteat (may switch with Revis)
    Miller
    Coleman

Not including Barrett because I don't think he'll be on the squad.

Maybe you should pick a player who doesn't suck at his assigned position.

If the CS had any real faith in Miller they wouldn't have traded up so high to grab Revis.

  9. Miller can still develop into a good # 2 corner, but he has alot of work to do in terms of technique. Time will tell.

We have the luxury of letting JMill develop now. Revis will be able to start ASAP but Dyson is not a young pup anymore. Miller has fantastic tools and he should be nothing more than a nickel corner this year (assuming no injuries).

As long as he remains a top flight returner he will have a job with the Jets. In fact, it forces the Jets to be even more patient with him. You cannot underestimate the impact he has on the field position game. Hopefully, Revis will have a similar impact on the punt return game.

The Jets special teams is absolutely improved now with Miller and Revis, which is scary.

Yeah I definitely exaggerated there haha

But the guy has been always hurt and his body has been through a lot for a guy his age. It never hurts to have young corners!

Dyson? Always hurt? Did I miss something?

The guy has been one of the LEAST hurt players since coming to the team.

Doesn't count worth a damm. When someone's stressing injuries I only want to know how it's impacted the team since he walked in the Weeb. When the answer is Zilch, don't bring up injuries in making your case to try and replace the guy sooner rather than later.

Pretty much injury free while here means alot...

    He's missed 9 out of 87 games.

Seemed to be fine last season, besides that minor problem in the last week of the season.

Well, at least now we'll have time to let him develop and/or bust and we won't have to throw him into the fire. I ahve a feeling he needs to experience success to grow, he can't take being embarrassed out on the field like he has been. But, I'm not giving up on him yet.
