I didnt see a thread on him before but maybe aside from Graham, I think Miller was easily the best player on the field(besides for the obvious reason, the TD).

He really showed alot of signs of how to cover and he made some crucial stops on 3rd down such as the tackle on Braylon Edwards I believe to stop the Browns from moving the chains. He saved us a TD too by knocking the ball away from Winslow at the last second.

Really sside from the phantom call on him when against Jerevcious, he absolutely played a great game on Defense IMO. Its defintely a positive sign for him potentially being a guy to look for in the future as a starting CB.

Miller is definitely an enigma At times I think he stinks defensively, but when I see him run two kickoffs for TD's---like against Indy, and today--- i love em'. And he makes big returns when it matters, too.

There is no doubt that Miller is at the very least, a top 5 returner in the league. It's just miserable to watch him cover receivers and tackle. He seems clueless out there, and he really hasn't shown considerable improvement since he was drafted, which is worrisome.

He did tackle Winslow today without oopsing him into an extra 9 yards so maybe he's learning.

Or maybe Winslow has the same tricky moves as a three-toed sloth. Not sure which applies here.

I really don't think Miller played well.

One play in particular. 3rd and 8. He's matched up against Kellen Winslow (a TE!) and is giving 9 yards of cushion. It ain't like Winslow is going to beat him deep.

The PI call was legit, even if the ball was uncatchable.

how's that 2004 draft looking for Bradway. We trade out of the first round for Jolley---instead of Heath Miller, but that's the past---and he chose Miller and Nugent. I was stoked that day, but Nugent can't kickoff or hit a 50-plus yarder, and we're still waiting for Miller to turn the corner as a reliable defender. He's a game-changer on ST, but is he a worth the 2nd rounder selection yet? Tough to call.

He played well from what I saw. Jesus, how long is a CB supposed to cover a receiver waiting for our pass rush to develop?

He made a couple of good open field tackles, one of which saved a first down. He also broke up a fade pass to Edwards (I think).

Sorry, but taking into account our woeful pass rush, he did not look that bad at all. In fact, I thought just the opposite.

If anyone in our defense was shit today look no further then the front 7. I also noticed Kerry Rhodes all over the field as well. Our secondary is not the problem.

It's not like we also got Houston and Rhodes out of the Jolley trade or anything.

I dont see how anyone can be impressed with Defense. He repeatedly gave to much of a cushin to Winslow. hes always getting beat, or commiting a costly penalty. Theres no doubt that he brings his game on ST...but i just dont think he was impressive at all in the secondary....

The only brightside in this whole game was Brad Smith on special teams. thats it.

how the hell is that PI call aa phantom call? He didnt look for the ball until he had already come into contact with the reciever. i like him, but he has had a few PI calls on him that extended drives and lead to more points for the opposition. miller has a very long way to go when it comes to coverage in the nfl.

Miller has one fairly good game, and suddenly he is great?

I like Miller on returns. If he could just learn how to return a punt we could dump Dwight.

On D though, he is bad a lot more often than good. He shows flashes of total brilliance, and the rest of the time he is giving up first downs.

I think he will eventually be a top 10 corner, but right now, he isn't there yet.

    Justin Miller = Woodrow Dantzler

NOT a good player outside of special teams.

Other than that one play on Winslow right before Dawson blew the field goal, Miller looked horrible, and you're kidding yourself if you think otherwise.

I agree, and to think that folks want to say that it wasn't pass interference was a joke. Look at Miller's head, he wasn't even facing the ball, rather, the guy selling hotdogs in Section 102.

As a KR he should go to the pro bowl, as a CB he is a backup

PS I just did an IP search and learned that Hydro51 is really Justin Miller.

By the way, did you ever notice that Hydro and Justin Miller are never on the board at the same time? Coincidence? I think not....

Notice how nobody mentions Miller's batted ball in the endzone where Cleveland had to settle for a FG attempt...

He made a crushing hit and a great play in the endzone...His pass interference was bad no doubt, but I find it funny the Miller haters rarely mention a good play he makes on defense.

And he won them a game last season against Buffalo...

    Are you serious bro?

Miller in the Colts game gave the Jets the lead and the defense faltered...

YESTERDAY THEY WERE DOWN 20-3. If Miller gets stopped at the 35, do you really think the Jets drive 65 yards for a TD?

    "Nuff said."

    Nuff this bro, that's stupid.
