The team sent the stuff to my unit and my co-workers had the frame built for it. Nice gift and much better than the standard plaque retirees usually get. It has Holmes and Scott's signatures.
Wife hasn't told me where I can hang it yet, lol Thanks for the comments, it was a fun ride, but definitely my time to hung up the uniform. Nows the hard part, finding another job.
Lifer,,,,,,,,,LOL Thank you for your service, just wish all the guys who servered in country in Nam, got the same respect and welcome when they got hione. I hope this country never forgets there treatment and never repeats the same mistake. The Men amd Women who server this counrty are the best of the best and will always deserve our upmost respect........Enjoy retirement, Top ......
That's a pretty classy gesture by this team. Thanks for serving, JF. Welcome to civilian life. Move quickly through the DMV line and we'll all get along fine.
my first thought exactly. Thank you for your service. Out of curiosity how did the Jets know (or care for that matter) that you were in the military? I don't mean that to sound mean or disrespectful, but I have to imagine that Jets fans come from all walks of life, how did they find out you were a lifer in the military? It's actually very cool that they send out plaques (signed plaques no less!) to military retirees. No matter how they found out its nice to know they care. Congrats on serving, and congrats on retirement, hopefully everything goes well and you don't miss the uniform too much.
Per chance were you a sniper? You don't mind travel to Canada or California or Miami? I can find plenty of work for you? Congrats and thanks for your service.
