Just look at n.e past offseasons. That's the J-E-T-S now on.

Man and Tann will be doing exactly that. So don't expect any redskins type crap.

True, but that doesn' t mean the Skins don't win the SB next season. Stranger things have happened. NE didn't win EVERY SB when Mangini was there. Plus, he was in charge of Gatorade for the first two. I'm a Jets fan, but I'm just sayin'.......:)

You're correct except for the part about "past" NE offseasons. Nothing's changed. Heard much from Foxboro lately?

The Redskins have mortgaged their future for one season which is out and out stupid. And you have them going to the Super Bowl behind Mark Brunell and his 90 year old knees.

As for Mangini, what's with the Gatorade crap? Mangini was the db's coach all of his time in NE until he was promoted last year. As for Mangini's Patriots not winning every Super Bowl, when was the last time the Skins won one? :)

Gibbs is as good as any HC in the NFL. He's been there and won with QB's who weren't as good as Brunell.

True but Bobby Beathard was giving him his players--with Gibbs arguing with Beathard at every turn that they were the wrong guys. I'm convinced that Gibbs is the reason that Snyder's going all out right now. I think he's unsure just how long Gibbs will want to coach and sees this as his best chance. My criticism is that he's mortgaging too much of the Skins' future to do it. If they don't get lucky and win a Super Bowl (and any team that wins the Super Bowl needs lady luck on their side), the bleak future is still ahead and it will have been all for nothing.

Should we be so damn lucky as to have a plan like the Pats for Pete's sake. Where is all this Redskins crap coming from? That is exactly the type of plan we don't want. And as for Gibbs......he is ten years behind the times. Lets get behind these young guys and build a legimitate franchise for a change, not patching up the team for another mediocre season.

No doubt the banana is turning brown in DC. I'm not sure you can lay this all at Gibbs. The Skins pretty much did the same thing before Gibbs got there for this ride. The NFL continues to increase revenue and the cap, who knows how long the Skins can continue to do this? To Snyders credit they seem to have put together a very solid staff with people ready to step in when Gibbs steps out.

Your so right about the luck factor, besides injuries and the strange unnatural bounce of a football, the NFL seems to be using cronyism rather than performance to pick the playoff refs. The other problem with signing big time FA is the NFL is probably the most unpredictible sport to figure out a players prime. Players go from great to gone overnight in the NFL all the time. Slight losses of speed, desire, reflexes and nagging little injuries seem to effect perfomance more in the NFL than other major sports.
