alright im in year 2 and i was playing cleveland week 2 on a sunday night. we are all tied up and cleveland kicks a field goal to win it 27-24 with 4 seconds left. HOWEVER there is still one second left on the clock. they squib it to me i pray it goes out of bounds and it does. i get it at the 40. last play play action blitz comming bulger bombs it deep to coles and it intercepted at about the 30 yard line and coles tackles him and he FUMBLES and coles picks it up and runs 30 yards for the TD I WIN. man i was pumped
Exactly, this is why madden is a joke. And the funny thing is, the defense bites. Frickin ridiculous, 1 second left and he calls a playaction.
Exactly, dont you get it ? Why would a defensive back bite on running play with one second left, there is no way your going to run the ball for a touchdown from so far away, so why would they bite. That would never work in real life, ever. NO db with half of a brain would bite on a run with 1 second left and the game in hand.
I've had a few finished on live that have really pissed me off lately. I was playing using the Jets,the other dude the giants. I didn't even let him cross the 50 the whole game. I had a 9-0 lead with 2 mins left. He throws a bomb and converts a TD to Burress,who was tripple covered. 9-7. I'm driving,Barlow fumble. He gets into field goal range and wins 10-9 with 1 sec left. I had 3 live games in a row finish like that. I won't even play someone using the Falcons,because Vick can fly in Madden.
man i play everyone with the stock jets and I anihilate (sp?) everyone...penny has got some accuracy inthe game, just stick to what hes good at..short dump offs all day...
I just had a crazy ass finish too....week 2 game 5, im 4-0 on all pro (im new ok haha) ive had a tough season so far, chad isnt playing that well but my D is keeping me in it...anyway, playing the jags...they get out to a 14-0 lead at 1/2 time then its 21-6 at 3/4 time...i get it to 21-21 with 2 mins left after tying it with a 2 pt conv pass to askew :wink: they get it back...3 and out, now its 3rd and long on my 40 and chad throws a 'deep' ball to coles who catches it inside the 10...i let the clock run down as jags have no time outs...i run a few runs and with 7 secs left (maybe too much time???) i call TO and go for the FG to win it....no probs for nuge but there is 4 secs left...i squib it down the middle adn they get it and tackled with 1 sec left....then leftwich i think...bombs one over my cover 3 (i didnt think i needed anythign more), barrett i think...and the guy runs for an 80 yard catch and run...FKN SPEWING!!!!!!!!!!!! i almost cried.....my first regular season loss (1st season 19-0)....arghhhhhhh so frustrating....this shit does not happen... anyway...love my madden!!!!
who the hell plays cover 3, with 1 second left and the other team needs a touchdown, its called Quarter_Prevent_Coverage Audible_Slide all DBs back(^), that was your fault NYmagpies
true, cut me some slack...im australian...not too familiar with the tactics yet but yeah..i blew it...and ended the season being eliminated in the PO1st rd vs the texans...boo hoo me. also, chad got hurt for 11 weeks and kellen was more than serviceable but chad will start next season... i cant manage it properly too as i only get to sign like 3 of my draftees....go on laugh at me haha.... PS: i have since located the prevent D and used it more than once :wink:
season 3 sees me back on track with a 9-1 record and a massive come from behind win vs the chiefs...down 31 7 in the first i get a head on a long PA bomb (from CHAD :SHOCK to coles to lead 42-41 with 30 secs left, then rhodes int a pass to run out the clock...!!!!!!!!!!
