Any tips on things to do or accessories to buy to improve it or good ways to set it up to optimize my gaming experience. I'm thinking of buying the wireless adapter because it will be easier that messing with my networks and cable at the moment. Ideally I would set the wireless adapter up next to the system but I would have to splice my cable because there is only one outlet nearby and it is being used for the television. I got the intercooler fan for the rear of the console just as a precaution against overheating especially since it is in a cramped space. Is there anything you need to do to set it up for video/music from your pc or just pop a disc in? Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.
If you have wireless controllers, you should get a charge kit because you'll waste A LOT of batteries without it.
To be honest.. I have heard that cooler actually hurts more then it helps in certain instances so be careful.... I dont think microsoft itself has made any so these third party things can be damaging.. use it at your own risk and O yah... Good choice !
The only tip i have is to buy a backup 360 for when you have to ship this one back for 3-4 weeks. I'm going on #3 now from the red ring of fuck microsoft's face. These things are great systems when they work but they are garbage.
3, really? I've had the same one without problems for almost 2 years and it's gone through a cross country move and I've carried it to friends' houses/dorm rooms and what not. Maybe I've just been lucky...I know the red ring of death is a HUGE problem, but I have experienced it yet.
I have a 360 , and to be honest I think I'm going to trade it in for a PS3 which I said I would never buy I just can't get used to it , the controller is bulky and awkward and I find the gameplay instuctions need field glasses to see them. The cooler thing, I heard the same thing , if it needed it Xbox would reccomend it , JMO.
This is probably a dumb question but how do you download roster updates. Or any updates for that matter.
Act like your gonna play a online game.....then quit. It automatically updates the roster.....injuries and all
be careful, I believe using the intercooler voids your 360 warranty -- and you will undoubtedly need it when your system bonks out on you...and it will.
Don't buy the cooler. I thought about it, but I read some reviews that said it HURTS it and either way if your 360 does break (which it has for me and one of my friends) due to the overheating MS will fix it for free and the only cost is a few weeks without xbox. Also, like someone above said, buy the play and charge kit for wireless controllers. It will save you cash on batteries and prevent your controller from dying when the score is 49-49 in a game of team slayer in halo 3 on xbox live and will also prevent the throwing of objects that will ensue when you die because your controller died thus loosing you the game. Edit: alright well you already bought the cooler, well I'd try to re-sell if I were you. If your xbox is gonna break it will break and you want to be covered when ms asks you if you've fucked around with it when you're trying to ship it for repairs.
Do not buy the intercooler, I am victim of how it screws up your system because it messes with the power source.
There aren't any roster updates for the NCAA football games, but Madden usually updates the rosters every week. Just sign into XBOX Live and before you play an online game it will ask you to update your rosters: Injuries, Depth Charts, Releases, and Trades are all updated, it's pretty nice.
Well in April, the new game will be almost finished -- and the new game will have rookies and new transactions.
Maybe so you have the updated rosters for those 3 months? It's not like it's some kind of major process to update.
