And I took Aaron Rodgers. And it backfired. It gives 6 pts for TDs. 12 teams. I was looking at my lists and I saw Ray Rice there but everything I read has him as a big dropoff from MJD and AP, and he has McGahee and McClain stealing his goal line carries. But I forgot I could take Michael Turner. The worst part is when it came back to me Brady, Romo, and Rivers were all still there. Rodgers, Brees, Schaub, Manning went in the first 13 picks in that order. Here's my lineup: Aaron Rodgers Calvin Johnson Chad Johnson Jeremy Maclin Ryan Grant Jamaal Charles - got him late 4th round, a definite steal. Owen Daniels - took him in the 7th and again could have prob waited till like the 9th for a TE and still got shiancoe or Zach Miller but I think Daniels has lots of upside. Jay Feely Miami BENCH Clinton Portis Steve Breaston Justin Forsett Jerricho Cotchery Chester Taylor Best team on paper: second overall pick guy Kevin Kolb - got him late but questionable AP Jahvid Best - I think his production will slow Roddy White Larry Fitz T.O. Gates Ryan Longwell San Fran BENCH Flacco Westbrook Maroney LT Anthony Gonzalez
In that format I would take your team over the other team you posted. You are strong at every starting spot, although Ocho as a #2 isn't amazing. I don't like your bench at all, but your starters are excellent imo. EDIT: After another look, that guy does have a pretty ridiculous team. He killed it with his 1st 5 picks. I just wouldn't be comfortable with Kolb when passing TDs are worth 6. Rodgers could carry you to a championship so I wouldn't worry too much about taking him first.
Yeah that guys team can be good. If you look at what I put above, the guy who picked first overall did well too. I could have waited on Owen Daniels and had Ahmad Bradshaw but I think he might be pretty good. I assume he will be the number 2 pass target in Houston over Jacoby Jones and Kevin Walter.
There's some real steals there. Matt Ryan in Round 11. And who takes Michael Bush before all those other backs?
I feel like I could have been in a much better position if I had gone Turner-Brady-Roddy instead of Rodgers-Calvin-Grant
I feel like first overall pick will be tough to beat. Chris Johnson paired with Jonathan Stewart isn't killer but if DeAngelo goes down it is. However, Stewart is the more likely injury.
Wow. I think the guy who picked 1st has the best team by far. QB - Brady WR - Austin WR - Welker WR - Floyd RB - Chris Johnson RB - Jonathan Stewart TE - Carlson K - Crosby Def - none Bench - Moreno Evans Donald Brown Massaquoi Rice Ward Moreno and Brown are excellent backup RBs, and outside Carlson his starters are all great. I'd kill for this team in my money league.
And I feel like I'd have broken that team up a little and had a better team too if I had drafted a bit smarter. I personally don’t trust Austin and probably wouldn’t draft him but he has all kinds of upside with Floyd and Stewart. There is a possibility that Floyd will prove to not be a legit #1 and Stweart might get hurt of be stuck in the time share but if that team performs as expected, they’ll be tough to beat. At least NE has a tough schedule!
Fantasy Football is won with your top 2 or 3 players plus Free Agency. I put no stock in drafts anymore.
Austin will deff have a down year, last year he came out of nowhere and teams were taken by surprise. Won't happen this year. I don't like taking a QB and one of his top targets. If they have a bad game, you've essentially conceeded a win because that's 2 guys who won't get you any points. Your team in particular, is not bad at all. I think you'll compete for a top spot, but you might suffer a bit at the WR spot.
decent looking team. i think cj/maclin will have good years. charles has tons of upside and it's nice to have him paired with someone as consistent as grant. decent depth at rb with forsett/portis. not much depth at wr though. a few weird things in the draft. ben tate being drafted.. flacco in the 11th is a ridiculous steal. matt schaub at pick 10.
