These guys really have no clue. Half the people on this board would be better at answering the questions than these guys. Anyway Randy Cross and some other guy do this show the press pass so I called and asked what kind of compensation picks the Jets would get for losing Lamont, McKenzie, and Ferg. So Cross goes "well that was last season so they would have been compensated already I don't know where that one was going" and of course they hung up on me already so I couldn't explain how it works to them. I should have waited for Solomon Wilcox to come on in the next hour because Cross is an idiot.
It's so dumb that these people know so little about football and they get to talk about it on the radio.
Seriously these guys get paid to talk football, a job most of us dream of, and they don't know anything. I mean just to summarize some answers Cross gave. He said he can see Jamal Lewis in New York to be the power back and give Tiki a breather. He also said Green Bay would be a good fit for Drew Brees??
So lame, there is a local sports show on community radio here where I live and they could even handle that concept, those guys are probably making big bucks, so lame

Yeah I was hoping they would correct themselves and answer the question but even when I told the call screener what I wanted to talk about when I mentioned comp picks he said John Abraham so it looks like no one on the set had a clue.
I called last year right after the draft- Randy Cross and Tim Ryan. I specifically asked them to go through each pick we made and give their opinion. So of course, they mentioned Nugent and Miller (for about 10 seconds total) and went off topic completely. Randy knows by far the least about football among the ex-NFL'ers. Pat Kirwan is Vince Lombardi compared to him.

OK i just got on....these gusy knew what they were talking about....... They said we might get a late 3rd round piick for one of those guys , and maybe 4th or 5th for the others..... They also surprisingly knew a little bit about the CFL team in Hamilton where I am and talked alot about how the Bills' have tons of fans in Southern Ontario and that 20% of their gate receipts come from Canadian fans
At the risk of sounding like a commercial, I love the NFL channel. I got Sirius satelite radio to listen to Howard Stern, but I find my self listening to NFL channel all the time NFL 24-7 Bye bye WFAN

Randy Cross is an idiot. It isn't even that he's wrong more often than is acceptable, he's a flat out dope. I mean, look at his head for the love of Pete. It just ain't right.
