Holy Smokes, so worth the watch. The Judge is dynamite. He starts off by not mentioning Kim Foxx by name, but was that ever a joke. She's not fit for office, thanks. The Judge absolutely destroys him. Liar, hoax, you should be ashamed of yourself, selfish, arrogant, narcissistic. You name it he says it. He pretty much said in no uncertain terms that Smollett perjured himself on the stand. I really wish he would have thrown the book at him as hard as he could for that alone. In what world do you not get handcuffed when you're being sent to jail? What a tool to the end. I'm not sure why the fake letter that he sent to himself on the set of 'Empire' was never pursued. Mail fraud is a federal crime. After that didn't get all the traction he wanted is when he plotted the fake attack.
Wow! I just watched the whole thing. The judge was awesome, he broke down the crime, trial, motive.....to a T. The defiance of JS at the end was fucking laughable. What class A fucking douche bag this guy is. He truly spits in the faces of the victims of real hate crimes.

The context is that he faked his own attack and claimed he was attacked by a trumpsters for his victim cred and is likely setting the stage for another fake attack claim, this time while he is in jail.
The context is attention, just like the fake attack. He went there immediately after his sentencing. He's insinuating that if he's found dead in his cell it's because somebody took him out. It's county jail, not Alcatraz. You should watch the sentencing video when you get some time. It's a doozy. I lost count how many times the Judge said liar and perjury and Smollet sits there like an angry persecuted victim the whole time.
