I read in the Daily News today that there were serious trade talks between the Jets and Dallas yesterday about a trade for Jones. Has anyone else heard about this? I would do whatever it takes to get him. Thoughts?

Tatum Bell was also on the block. Id trade maybe the Skins 2nd rounder if the rumor is true

Tatum Bell is a Bronco, no? or are you saying send the 2nd rounder the skins gave us?

I wouldn't send a 2nd ronuder. If they want to get rid of him, a 4th will do.

Yes, Tatum Bell is a Bronco; Im saying I would consider trading the Skins' 2nd rounder for either Bell or Jones

Would a 4th really be good enough for Jones?

He seems like he'd be worth a little more.

Or were you referring to Bell?

I think the fact that the Jets used a 4th rounder on a RB is an indication that any talks with Jones or Bell died out

Why on earth would the Cowboys want to trade Julius Jones? He's one of the best young runningbacks in football!

I think that was done more to complement Houston with a more east west type of runner. But we are far from solid at the position...I am lookin forward to addressing it next year

That would be unreal. Julius Jones would be a monster acquisition. For a second rounder, I'd say it'd be worth it.

Just give them Houston or Blaylock and 2nd/3rd and 5th round pick or something that would actually work. I would love to see Jones play for the Jets.

He can be the No. 2 back behind Jones.

Am I missing something? Who would their RB be if Denver traded Bell? They Let Anderson go-- would it be Dayne? Who else do they have right now? Maybe this was all PRE-DRAFT talk, form someone who thinks they wanted Lendale White. I am sure these rumors are total BS.

If Bill Parcells actually traded Julius Jones to hand over the franchise to Marion Barber III, maybe people would finally realize how overrated a coach he is.

At the very least maybe Jerry Jones would stop letting him buy his own groceries.

It is not all that surprising that the Parcells would entertain moving Jones. From what I have read he isn't all that enamored with his toughness or (lack of) durability.

Julius would be a nice pickup, I'd give them a 3rd.
