Jay Glazer was just on the Fox pregame and said that Freeman will be inactive for today's game, after the benching we heard of a few days ago. More interestingly, he said that he spoke with Freeman earlier today and he will be seeking a trade or his release, but that the NFLPA has already gotten involved, telling the Bucs to essentially keep their mouths shut about anything personal/off the field with Freeman in the event of a release. He said that it could get VERY ugly and messy if things start coming out, with the Bucs potentially releasing information about Freeman off the field in an effort to "try and recoup some of his signing bonus." Does anyone have any idea at all what this could be about? I'm really curious about this now...
I live in the Tampa Bay area, and I hear him slurring his words on the interview talk radio shows. As well, acquaintances have seen him frequenting the clubs quite a bit. Awfully presumptuous of me but I think there is a drinking problem. Hope I'm wrong, and not pointing fingers, but...
He's not even being allowed on the sidelines today: @MikeGarafolo: Josh Freeman will not be on the sidelines today, either. Per a source, he's been told to watch from a suite.
How I wish Tampa would have given us next year's 1st round pick now LOL. Who could have seen this coming? On the bright side, this does bump their 3rd round pick value wise substantially, if they keep Revis that is.
