Thats his stats and bio so far this season. I think he is an excellent receiver and would be a great addition the the corps. He reminds me of a upgraded Chrebet but with alot more speed. Maybe he can be our version of Wes Welker that receiver that just always seems to get open no matter what you do. I know i am throwing alot of receivers out there but i think we are just one short right now of having a really decent set. Where do you think this guy would fall in the draft? 2nd or 3rd rounder is what i predict.. Plus this guy would be a versatile player where he could return punts for us and maybe KOR if we are ever in need.

I think the only thing we do need to add to our recieving corp is a true slot reciever ala Wes Welker. W. Wright is good inside because he can be very physical but he doesn't have great hands... and slot recievers need to be very reliable IMO.

I expect Woodhead to practice as a slot reciever as soon as the season ends but at the moment for all we know he can be really good or really bad so we can't bank on that.

Bobby Wade would have been a good pickup but back then we still had Stuckey and it didn't have much sense.

All in all I would prefer to either wait to see if some talent falls to the later rounds (and somehow WR talent ALWAYS falls to the later rounds, especially the slot reciever type) or pickup a veteran FA... our WR group is young so we can afford to bring in an older guy.

Let's not forget we also have Allison on the team... he doesn't belong in a slot WR conversation but he will be given a chance to make the team next year.

Im just trying to figure out which position we need to just make that last missing piece to the puzzle.. I look at Running back and its like its a decent backfield when all are healthy. I know we need held on the line constantly but you can always find a linemen later in the rounds. The QB isnt going anywhere. So it comes back to WR Plus we are lacking a PR/KR because Leonhard is doing a good job of catching and Justin Miller is just not the same speedster we had back in the days. So I would believe if you had a PR would fills in at WR would make the most sense.

I agree... give me a slot WR/punt returner and I'll be happy :)

Sounds like Shipley would be an excellent pick then.

I feel like Shipley has a couple of medical redshirts, if its one then I have no problem but I would hate to have someone with multiple injured redshirts
