Chandler Jones to Arizona for Jonathan Cooper & 2016 2nd round pick. Interesting what an elite defensive talent set to become a FA after the season is worth.
Only issue is Jones isn't due 15 million this season. He could be tagged next season, it would have been like us trading Mo last season.
IMO Jones sets the market more if we were to trade Sheldon. Kid has a sketchy past and is a risk every year. Mo isnt a risk in that way
was just about to post the same. Richardson is a much better comparison to Jones.....talented but with substance abuse marks, and about to get paid big by someone. if the Jets could get a 1st for Richardson next offseason, i'd be very happy with that.
I hate it. and its easy to be that way when you have that QB. If we had an all time great QB right now you think the Jets would be scared about losing Wilkerson? Fuck no with the safety net like that they'd flip him too. Whats the worse that can happen? 10-6 instead of 12-4? You want to see the results of the way belichick runs things without a Tom Brady? see Cleveland Browns: 1991-1995, New England Patriots 2000
He won a playoff game in Cleveland, and was part of building a strong organizational foundation. He also won 11 games in 2008. Belichick is what makes New England tick, but more as a coach than a GM..
nope. and he was terrible in Cleveland. he won 1 playoff game? sweet that makes him like every other failed coach
All that came to mind after reading this was that scene from The Perfect Storm where the deckhand says "We have to set the market and make a killing"
Greatest cheater of all time? Honestly, I don't see how this sets any market. The value is hard to judge and IMO Wilkerson is better than Jones.
if i'm not mistaken, it was the last playoff game won by Cleveland, so no small feat. wasn't terrible there, he was turning around a shit show before the owner pulled the rug on the whole thing. also won 11 games in 2008, won a Super Bowl with an inexperienced game manager at QB, and has had a ton of success as a DC. are you really going to try and dispute Belichick's credentials as a coach? he needed a QB for sustained success as any coach does, but he didn't need Br*dy to succeed. the reverse is not true.
Without Brady falling into his laps he's Wade Phillips. decent coaching career. better coordinator. always a place for him in this league. Nobody licking his balls like we see now. he is not a good GM. Having Brady as a safety net, especially Brady as a safety net playing for less than market value, has been a tremendous ace in the hole. It gives you the benefit of the doubt when you trade an emerging star at edge rusher in his prime for a 2nd round pick and a guard who's been benched twice. it gives you the benefit of the doubt so people will revise history and claim the shit show you oversaw in cleveland "wasn't terrible"
