I've done a bunch of mock drafts online on the site Namath2Kobler recommended. In all of these drafts I see Jones-Drew going way before Fred Taylor.

I understand that Taylor is 31 years old and has had some injury troubles, but he's the #1 back on the Jacksonville team and is a damn good back when healthy. I don't get why Jones-Drew is almost always going in the 2nd round and Taylor is still available in the 6-7-8th rounds.

I see the same type of situation with Bush/Duece. Duece is the #1 back on that team and will get the bulk of the carries yet he's always going a few rounds after Bush.

Can anyone give me some insight on this?

Look at the stats from last year. Taylor and Jones-Drew split carries but J-D got all the good numbers. With Taylor another year past his prime, and J-D with another year under his belt, people are expecting this to continue.

Deuce and Bush is a different situation because the Saints use Bush almost entirely as a WR. But they were starting to use Bush more the goal line more last year. I would rather have J-D or Bush over Taylor or Deuce. However, I do think Taylor and Deuce can be very good value picks in later rounds.

Alot of reports are even saying that Fred Taylor and Jones Drew will be losing carries to Greg Jones.

Nevertheless, Jones Drew was impressive anytime he saw action last season, and they barely used him the first few weeks last year. I really think that by midway through this season he will emerge as the #1 back in JAX and have some great numbers.

I really like the possibilities of draft first, second, or third and teaming him up with one of the top three backs. Then a few rounds later grab onto Fred Taylor as insurance (I've done that in a few mocks so far)

I pick 3rd in my draft and I will either take Carson Palmer or MJD in the 2nd round. Haven't really decided which yet.

How many QBs do you start?

I'd go MJD, odds are he'd be gone by your 3rd round pick whereas Palmer will still be there.
