Its been awhile since Ive made a mock but its been tough with the combine as well as a crazy free agency to complete a draft that holds some value. I needed to see what we would do as well as what other teams would do up until this point in the offseason. Its become clear that Tanny is waiting for the draft to make anymore moves to the roster, so I have done my best to fill the Jets needs as well as throw in some of my personal sleeper prospects to formulate a solid draft class.

But before we get to that I have completed an entire first round draft so you can see where I came to the conclusion of taking who I wanted in the first as well as where I went with my other selections. Ive been working on this one for about a week, so I hope you guys enjoy my work, and would love to hear any feedback that you would like to share.

    2012 NFL First Round Draft:

    1) Indianapolis Colts - Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford
I was going to play around with this pick and go RG3 but its clear that Luck is the pick here as well as the future of the Colts. This kid is the most NFL ready out of any player in this draft and should be a great player for years to come. In 3-4 years the Colts will be back on top with the help of Luck.

    2) Washington Redskins - Robert Griffin III, QB, Baylor

The Redskins traded the farm for RG3 and while many consider it too big of a risk, I completely disagree. Griffin has shown at the combine, his pro day, and his college play that he has all the potential in the world to be an all around excellent QB. He reminds me of a better version of Randall Cunningham, excellent arm, breaks tackles, extremely smart, has pocket presence, and can gain yards with his feet for days. If youre a Redskins fan (which I would be surprised since youre on a Jets forum) you should be excited.

    3) Minnesota Vikings - Matt Kalil, OT, USC

The Vikings line is vomit worthy. They clearly had a big play in Petersons decline in production as well as putting Ponder on his ass 30 times last year. Matt Kalil is the clear #1 LT in this draft and should improve the line big time. Peterson and Ponder should be extremely happy with this pick.

    4) Cleveland Browns - Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama
Sorry Jets fans, Trent Richardson isnt dropping to #16, while it was a great dream it just aint happening. I think the Browns are gearing up to bring in Richardson as their premiere back on offense. They have not filled their clear whole at RB and need a playmaker more than anyone in this draft. While Blackmon helps McCoy, so does Richardson. He can pass protect, catch passes out of the back field, and shows all the ability to be one of the next great RBs in the NFL.

    5) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Mo Claiborne, CB, LSU
Even if Richardson was here at 5 I still think the Bucs would take Claiborne. Mo has all the skill set in the world to be an excellent cover corner in the NFL. The Bucs secondary was very mediocre last season and even with the signings of Eric Wright and Ronde Barber I still feel they need a true #1 CB. Going to a team that has hired LSUs old DB coach in Ron Cooper, Mo should feel very comfortable being drafted to Tampa Bay.

    6) Saint Louis Rams - Justin Blackmon, WR, Oklahoma St
This completes a successful trade down for the Rams, they get their #1 guy and rack up a plethora of first rounders for years to come. Blackmon provides Sam Bradford with a true #1 WR that the Rams have lacked since Tory Holt. Blackmon has exceptional ball skills, has had amazing production at OK State, and has never been shutdown in his career (although Revis will have something to say about that.). He is a perfect fit for the Rams and should be a stud for years to come.

    7) Jacksonville Jaguars- Quinton Coples, DE, North Carolina

I think the Jags will trade down from this pick but since I dont do trade downs I will select the best player for them. I really wanted to go with Kirkpatrick but the Jags have signed Aaron Ross and Mathis so I dont think they will go with a CB till the next round. The Jags ranked 25th in sacks last season and while they do have Jeremy Mincey they still need a DE on the other side to complete this Dline. Coples has had issues off the field but his play his undeniable. He has the ability to be a consistent pass rusher and run stopper at LDE which is what the Jaguars need.

    8) Miami Dolphins - Michael Floyd, WR, Notre Dame
(Sorry BakerMaker) The Dolphins just traded their #1 wideout to the Bears so its clear theyre looking at a true #1 guy in the draft to fill Marshalls spot. Floyd's stock has risen and its looking like he has all the ability to be a great wideout in the NFL. He possess excellent body control, soft receiving hands, can run routes effectively, and can be a legitimate deep threat. It sucks for him that he is going to a team that doesnt have a #1 QB but who ever gets the job will have a favorite target in Floyd for the season.

    9) Carolina Panthers - Dre Kirkpatrick, CB, Bama

Everyone has the Panthers taking Brockers in the first but I disagree. While DT one of their biggest needs, the DT class is stacked in this draft, and the Panthers cannot afford to be any worse against the pass. Kirkpatrick is one of my favorite prospects. He is a hard hitter but plays great in man coverage. He has elite size and can play anywhere in the defensive backfield. If the Panthers want to stay in games and get Cam Newton some well deserved wins they need to be able to defend the pass, Kirkpatrick can help that effort from day 1.

    10) Buffalo Bills - Riley Reiff, OT, Iowa
The Bills are spending all over and it is looking like Demetrius Bell isnt going to be resigning with them anytime soon. If they want to become effective again on offense they need a legitimate LT. While I think Reiff is probably best fit at RT he has the ability to be a good LT in the NFL. He will need time to become an elite blindside tackle but in due time he can become so.

    11) Kansas City Chiefs - David DeCastro, OG, Stanford
The Chiefs need interior help as bad as anyone in the NFL and since Brian Waters has left their entire offense has struggled because of it. DeCastro is what you call an "elite" prospect, He can come in from day 1 and be dominant. He has incredible footwork, pass/run blocking skills, and is a leader on the offense. If the Chiefs want to get back into their 2010 like selves they will need to revamp their OLine.

    12) Seattle Seahawks - Courtney Upshaw, DE. Alabama

Many dont see Upshaw as a 4-3 DE but I see him as being a great player in either scheme. The Seahawks need a pass rusher and a run defender, Upshaw has the ability to do both effectively. While Nicky Perry is also a candidate for this pick with his USC roots, I see Upshaw as more of an effective starter coming in to 2012. Seahawks fans should be happy with Mr. Upshaw.

    13) Arizona Cardinals - Melvin Ingram, DE, South Carolina
While this isnt the Cardinals biggest need, I think theyre in need of a player that completes their Defense. I think the Cards will sign Demetrius Bell sooner or later before the draft so the OLine becomes a non issue until later in the draft. While I dont "love" Ingram I do think he can add value to a team that already has a solid pass rusher. Sam Acho did well for the Cards last year and adding Ingram to an already young and upcoming defense is a smart move.

    14) Dallas Cowboys - Michael Brockers, DT, LSU
Maybe the steal of the draft here. Dallas takes Brockers who just so happened to fall into their laps. While DE isnt their biggest need, Dallas is always known for picking that flashy player in the draft every once in awhile. Brockers, IMO, can fit well in a 3-4 defense along side Ratliff and turn what would be a good front 7 into a elite front 7. They do have secondary issues for sure but nothing helps the secondary more than an above average front 7. Brockers style of play reminds me a lot of Calais Campbell, he has the ability to command double teams and get sacks from the inside of the defensive line. Hes a no brainer here.

    15) Philadelphia Eagles - Luke Kuechly, ILB, Boston College
I wanted so badly to mock Kuechly to the Jets but the Eagles need a linebacker even after the addition of Demeco Ryans. Kuechly was a born leader and was one of the most dominating linebackers in all of college football. The Eagles biggest issue was stopping the run and having a lack luster LB core. With Kuechly and now Ryans in their 4-3 defensive scheme their defense becomes pretty damn scary.

    16) New York Jets - Mike Adams, OT, Ohio State

Will the Jets make it 4 years straight of a DE being picked at 16? Possibly, but not in my mock. Mike Adams is an excellent RT prospect who, in my eyes, can be plugged in immediately at RT. He has a great skill set of pass protection, run blocking ability, the ability to get to the second level, fits well in Sparanos power blocking scheme (yes even with his low bench press numbers) and should be a fan favorite soon enough. Even though many of our top prospects are off the board at this point in this draft, no one should be disappointed by Adams. He bolsters back up our lack luster offensive line, gives Mark the pass protection he rightfully needs, and gives the run game a chance to become what it once was again. Hes a personal favorite of mine and I hope with time becomes one of yours.

    17) Cincinnati Bengals - Janoris Jenkins, CB, Northern Alabma (I hope youre reading past this point) The Bengals secondary was just plain sad last season. Losing Joseph last year really made a huge impact in what should of been a very solid defense. Jenkins is the 3rd best corner in this draft and if he had stayed in Florida he would have had the chance to be the #1 corner. Jenkins has all the skillset to be a great lockdown corner in the NFL but he needs to get his head straight and become more consistent. If he can do that, the Bengals get a steal at 17.

    18) San Diego Chargers - Nick Perry, OLB, USC
Even with the signing of Jarrett Johnson, the Chargers need a pass rusher. Nicky Perry would most likely start out as a pass rush specialist but play the role of Aldon Smith last season. He can come in games, rack up sacks and TFL's. Eventually, he will become an all down OLB and one of the better ones from this draft class.

    19) Chicago Bears - Jon Martin, OT, Stanford
Martin is slipping on my board. He hasnt shown me any wow factors in his game and relies on his athleticism more than his actual strength, which will be tough to coverup in the NFL. Im not 100% on him being a LT in the NFL but he can become one. The Bears need OLine help badly and need to learn the Cutler isnt just a rag doll. With the addition of Brandon Marshall and OLine help, the Bears offense starts to look pretty damn good.

    20) Tennessee Titans - Peter Konz, Center, Wisconsin

Even with his injury the Titans are desperate, Eugene Amano was one of the worst starting centers in the league, Konz should help fix that interior line, and make Chris Johnson look better than he did last year. If Konz can stay healthy, he should be a long time starter on the Titans Oline.

    21) Cincinnati Bengals - Cordy Glenn, OG, Georgia
The Bengals need a guard badly and need to protect Dalton. While Glenn can play RT, his best fit is on the inside of the line, IMO. Glenn has the ability to open up big wholes in the run game and looks like a sound pass protector. His strength alone should make him look good on the Bengals offense. If Glenn is here at 21, I dont see the Bengals skipping him.

    22) Cleveland Browns - Kendall Wright, WR, Baylor

The Browns need a WR and a dynamic one at that to make McCoy look good. Wright is a legitimate deep threat with Desean Jackson type potential. If the Browns want to ever become a solid offensive team in the AFC they will need to add a players like this to their mediocre offense. A first round of Richardson and Wright should easily make any Browns fan very happy.

    23) Detroit Lions - Stephen Gilmore, CB, South Carolina Stephen Gilmore's stock has gone up a lot after an impressive combine. The Lions seconardy got ripped apart last year and their CBs are looking almost sad. Gilmore is a play maker and has the ability to make a tackle in the open field just as well as any CB in this draft. No need for any sexy picks for the Lions here, they need a CB big time across from Chris Houston or theyll be looking bad again.

    24) Pittsburgh Steelers - Dontari Poe, NT, Memphis
Casey Hampton is 34 and on his way out, with OLine basically wiped out of this draft so early, the Steelers go with Poe. I think he is a bit overrated but hes the best NT prospect in this draft. The Steelers usually go with BPA and Poes hype just might buy him a ticket to Heinz field.

    25) Denver Broncos - Fletcher Cox, DT, Mississippi State What a steal for the Broncos, many argue Cox is the best DT in this draft, now while I disagree, I certainly think he is the 2nd best. Cox is a force on the inside and can make plays all over the field. He is very under valued and many dont take about him besides what they have seen at the combine. The Broncos need a DT and Cox is certainly a solution for that problem.

    26) Houston Texans - Rueben Randle, WR, LSU
Wait what Randle already...? Yup and deservedly so. Randle had a great showing at the combine and blew up his pro day. Running a 4.33 40 yard dash for a 6'3 210 pound man is just insane. Randle is an elite deep threat and has just as good of hands as anyone in this draft. He is moving up boards fast and would a great fit in Houston with their need for a #2 WR.

    27) New England Patriots - Whitney Mercilus, DE, Illinois

Pats need a pass rusher big time, Mercilus is raw and needs work but BB is the perfect coach to learn from. He can play in either scheme as a 4-3 DE or 3-4 OLB. Whitney should do great in New England, unfortunately.

    28) Green Bay Packers - Andre Branch, OLB, Clemson Another guy whos stock is rising day in and day out. He may not be at 28 by the time the draft comes but for now he is available. Many may question the Packers passing Hightower but they need a pass rush artist, Branch is potentially one of the best in the draft, and can either start or be a 3rd down specialist in his rookie year. The Packers need help on defense and Branch should make a surprising impact.

    29) Baltimore Ravens - Donta Hightower, ILB/OLB, Bama

Another steal here. Ravens are beyond lucky to end up with a guy like Hightower, they need someone fill some big shoes when Ray Lewis retires, he has the ability to be a complete ILB in the NFL. Even though they dont have a hole at ILB next season, they will have one in 2013, when Ray is projected to retire. A year under Lewis could do wonders for the Ravens and for now Hightower can play OLB for them, and effectively so.

    30) San Francisco 49ers - Coby Fleener, TE, Stanford
Heres a sexy pick for ya. This is a big sign that the NFL maybe moving into a Two TE league with the success of Hernandez and Gronk in NE. Fleener pairs back up with his former head coach, adds another target to San Frans passing game, and acts as the Aaron Hernandez to Vernon Davis's Rob Gronkowski. Talk about a revamped passing game.

    31) New England Patriots - Alfonzo Dennard, CB, Nebraska The Patriots will probably trade down 67 times from here instead of picking at 31 but I dont do trades so I decided to go with one of their bigger needs. There are some rumors that McCourty or Dowling maybe moving to Safety. If that is the case the Pats will need a CB more than ever. Dennard is a great press cover CB and is able to stop the run effectively. He has lost some luster since the end of the college season but hes still worth a 1st round selection for a DB needy team.

    32) New York Giants- Lamar Miller, RB, The U

The Giants need a RT, Corner help, and a Tight End but since none of value are here they need to address the RB spot. Ranked #32 in the league in rushing is nothing to be proud of. Even with Bradshaw on the roster they still need another serviceable back thats capable of being the starter. Miller can be an excellent weapon for the GMen, he can catch out of the back field, has great vision, and is a homerun threat. The SB champs just got more dangerous on offense.

The Jets 2012 Mock Rounds 2-7:

Round 2: Mohamed Sanu, WR, Rutgers

I am getting so boring with this pick arent I? Eh, what do I care. Sanu is my favorite prospect in this draft and I think his potential is through the roof. His biggest problem was would he be able to get separation from other CB's in the NFL. He just ran a 4.41 at his pro day, which is very impressive, and while its not the biggest sign he can get separation in the NFL, its certainly something to note. Sanu can run block, catch over the middle, run out of the wildcat, run routes solidly, always breaks tackles, has great hands, and should be Sanchez's go to guy when we need either a first down or just a play to get back into rhythm. Think Anquan Boldin or Hakeem Nicks.

Round 3: Cam Johnson, DE, Virginia

Many maybe critical that I havent gone OLB yet but dont be disappointed with ending up with Cam Johnson. Cam has the ability to be a great OLB and I hate when people say he is strickly a 4-3 DE because he simply is not. He reminds me of, and I think he can become, Shaun Phillips of the Chargers. He isnt going to be a 15+ sack guy but he will be an effective run defender as well as get you about 9-12 sacks a year in his prime. He should make an impact his rookie year as a situational 3rd down rusher as well as coming in every so often on 1st and 2nd round for either Thomas or Pace.

Round 5: Phillip Thomas, FS, Syracuse

A sleeper safety prospect in Thomas is the selection here in round 5. Thomas is that ideal center field type player that can eventually start after we bring in a stop gap FS. He has great size(6'0 200Lbs), superb ball skills, and is a great blitzer. He can be great, eventually, but he needs to be groomed before he can start. He falls to the 5th round because of his lackluster 40 time (4.74) and his suspension from Syracuse. Watch out for Thomas in the future whether he is a Jet or not, he should come out of nowhere for a team that needs a safety.

Round 5: (Comp)- TJ Graham, WR, NC State

A favorite of mine, Graham is an excellent deep threat, Adds value in punt returning, when you watch him he is like a lightning bolt on the field. He had a great combine and Senior Bowl. Think of him as a smaller Robert Meachem. The Jets need a deep threat and Graham can come in and be that guy for awhile in my personal opinion. Another guy for people to watchout for. If you have the time go look at some of his game, this guy is a burner.

Round 6: Donte Paige-Moss, DE, UNC
    [IMG]
Oh Donte Paige-Moss...I really liked him before this season but he has disappointed me a lot. His bad attitude drops him this far plus his knee injury, and personally, he shouldnt of came out this year. If he can get his shit together, he can provide excellent value. He's worth a flier in the 6th. Lets hope Rex can do something with him.

Round 6 (Comp): Adam Gettis, OG, Iowa
Gettis is an extremely athletic and gifted guard. He is a prospect an OLine coach would love to groom because of his size and style of play. Gettis needs to add weight and his draft stock is low because he is essentially a one year wonder but when you watch him on film he always stands out. Eventually, I think he can start (maybe 2-3 years), and coming into this year he could provide excellent depth as well as a nice jumbo TE player who can become an effective blocker at the second level.

Round 7: Akiem Hicks, DT/DE, Regina
Unless you watched the entire East-West Shrine game or youre a big fan of LSU , youve probably never heard of this kid. Hicks has had an interesting history so far in his college career. He was recruited out of Jco to attended LSU until he was asked to leave after some recruiting violations, then after he went to Canada to play football, a rarity among college recruits. This kid is 6'5 318 but plays like hes 6'5 260. Hes a project but well worth the time IMO, hes a sleeper of mine and I suggest if you have time go look at his games.

Round 7: (Comp)- Shawn Loiseau, ILB, Merrimack
Another kid who really impressed me at the East-West Shrine game. If you want an underrated, tough linebacker, filled with potential, Loiseau is your guy. Shawn plays extremely aggressive all over the field, racks tackles up like its nobodies business, and has been a leader at Merrimack since his freshman year. Hes extremely underrated but hes getting recognition by plenty of scouts, keep an eye on this kid, he should make an immediate impact on special teams, and could move onto bigger things in the future.

Round 7: (Comp)- D'Anton Lynn, CB/SS, Penn State
D'Anton Lynn is the son of our RB coach Anthony Lynn. He will be a project and has been unimpressive in workouts thus far (Also sustained an injury at the combine. Lynn has the skill set to eventually play well in zone coverage packages and come in as a 4th or 5th CB. He tackles effectively and has potential also as a backup at Strong Safety. Frankly, This is one of those Scotty McKnight type picks and I foresee us taking this kid just because of the coach relation. Dont get me wrong, he can be a good player, and deserves to be drafted eventually but right now, I'm not confident on his draft stock.

(If you actually read this whole entire thing, which I doubt, thank you very much)

While it's not a spectacular Jets draft, it seems like a logical one. Adams is a good player who I think is worth the #16 pick, and I think he'd be a valuable selection as an immediate starter.

Sanu and Johnson are similar in my mind, guys that can have an impact without ever being flashy studs. As someone who's seen Sanu play in person 20+ times, I was never worried about speed because he's good at creating enough separation when he has to via body control and physicality. Johnson is like a poor man's Upshaw to me, he's definitely not the athlete Shaun Phillips is (/or near what he was coming out). That said, he can be a solid run defender/passrusher when needed.

Paige Moss is an ass that I don't think will get drafted, and aftr watching Thomas play, I can't help but be unimpressed. He plays that 4.74. I'd bet that Lynn would actually be a better safety long term than Thomas.

As for the 1st rounder, it's too generic. It seems like every mock ever, no draft goes perfectly through, so play up some controversial picks. Make something happen.

I like everything except Adams, in fact I think Adams is a late #1 at best. i know I'm in the minority but I believe Vlad's going to deliver with an offseaso and a new system.

If your 5th round pick was FS Brandon Hardin instead I would be pretty happy with that draft.

Donta Hightower in the first, sprinkle an OT in the mid rounds the rest is awesome.

Long time Draft forum lurker here, great write up with great analysis.

As Green Hurricane pointed out solid but not sexy Jets draft - which is fine with me! Looks like a good mix of players, while I'd like a stud pass rusher it doesn't really seem like there are any to be found so plug the Offensive holes and draft upside guys later. Plus the Sanu pick makes this Rutgers fan happy.

    Good job and good read!

Its not that I dont like it, I just think the front office is adamant on sticking with Vlad/Hunter @ RT for this year.

So I just dont see us drafting a RT, especially one who is a little bit of a stretch with the pick. If anything id rather Cordy Glenn than Adams at this time

I would be okay with this, my favorite pick is probably Sanu. He would be a great #2 for this team and would provide a great, reliable target for Sanchez while also being a great run blocker. Cam Johnson would be a solid starter for us in a year or two and would be a good 3rd round pick.

I just dont see us going RT in the 1st three rounds. I truly believe that Tanny is going all in with who we have and hoping that Vlad can step up and live up to his 2nd round draft pick. We havent seen any interest with a RT in FA so that just furthers their wanting to stick with who they have. I dont necessarily agree with this decision, but its what I see them doing.

All in all, I would be just alright with this and it does address many areas which is very good. If we did go RT in round 1, the OL would be great again and help in both the passing and running game. Im sure this took a while, so the work is and time is geatly appreciated. Nice work as always Johnny.

Id be OK with Adams but I don't think we pick him. I think our staff really wants Ducasse to come in this year. Also I think there is no way we are not going LB in round 1 and probably 2 or 3.

Don't mind the Adams pick. Its a safe pick and you can never get mad at a team for addressing the O-Line. Yeah Ohio St players scare the Jets fans most of the time when drafted but I think Adams can be a legit RT.

Sanu is a good pick. Will be shocked if Cam Johnson lasts till mid round 3. Not a fan of two WRs in the 1st five rounds though, I would rather get another safety or even some guard depth.

Won't bash the late round picks but I might be in the minority here but I want a kicker AND punter taken late in the rounds, possibly both in the 7th round. Does that mean they will be studs on the NFL level? No. But these guys stand a far better chance at making the team than a 7th rounder at any other position(Besides maybe RB) would.

If we can get our starting punter late in the rounds, that would be huge. Same with a kicker to challenge Folk, if not beat him.

I also think we're taking a RB and early as Sparano may very well want "His" back.

Oh and Floyd to the Dolphins is YUCK. Too bad for Miami that I think Ryan Tannehill is a lock to be the pick for them. Shame though that the Bills may very well take Floyd :(

    Appreciate the comments.

I agree with everything you stated except two things. The first being that Phillip Thomas plays that 4.74, Ive watched a good number of his games last year and attended a few of his games against Rutgers and USF. When you watch him he seems to be reading and reacting all the time, almost as if he is waiting to step on the gas. When he does turn it on, you see that that 4.74 40 isnt what he truly plays at. I understand that can be hard to determine but I truly believe the kid is more of an athlete.

Secondly, the comments about the 1st round, while I do understand that a controversial draft is always a more interesting one, I wanted to just keep it simple with a few steals here and their. Its generic in some sense but a solid number of picks arent what many others have, which is why I am sort of content with it.

Anyways, I think coming out of the draft with a core 3 of Adams, Sanu, and Johnson answers alot of holes that we have on our squad. We need a RT and I am not convinced that we dont have any interest, Sanu is a clear #2 WR and a hometown guy, and Johnson is a solid 3-4 OLB who has the ability to contribute now as well as in the future.

Again, thanks for the comments GH, well appreciated.

Sorry to pair you guys up but it seems as though you'll basically have the same comments so I'll address them all at once.

Coming in I knew Adams wasnt going to be a popular pick. He is a guy thats always an after thought in many peoples minds. A RT, IMO, is our biggest need next to FS in this draft. I understand the whole OLB controversy but I just see more value in a guy who can step in and be a starter from day 1. Adams helps fix the run game, helps keep Mark upright, and gives us something great to build off for the future. He is a powerful kid and needs to get back into the gym. Whoever drafts him next year will have a real steal and a starter for years.

Hardin seems like hes becoming a very popular pick around here so I wouldn't exactly love to go with what everyone else is doing. He seems like a solid prospect though and I am keeping my eye on him.

I like Hightower, I just question if our team will go ILB in the first.

Thanks man for the nice comments.

Sanu is a favorite of mine as well, Ive been to many of his games at Rutgers and it seems like no matter what is going on he is having an impact. What many forget is Rutgers has suffered from poor-average QB play, and even with that Sanu put up record numbers, that really says something. I pray hes on this team come April but we'll have to wait and see.

    Thanks for the recognition laxinx.

I addressed RT before but I will say again that I just dont see our team risking another year with Hunter, to me, its a smokescreen that we arent interested in a OT. Who knows really?.

Its funny because nobody is finding the draft sexy but if you look into the prospects Ive selected, especially my later round guys, youll find a lot of upside. Like I stated in the comments about each player, if you have the time to just search them on the internet and watch them I think you'll be very intrigued.

    How horrible does this look?

Hahaha sorry for torturing you there. I think Floyd is going to be playing in the AFC East, whether that be with the Dolphins, Bills, or Jets. I just dont see how he slips to the Jets but if he does Id take him in a heart beat.

Back to your initial comments, Adams is a solid RT and Jets fans shouldnt be afraid of Ohio State players, one happens to be an all pro center in Nick Mangold, so maybe going Oline for OSU is a good thing.

I think Cam Johnson can be their at our 3rd round pick, IMO, he is strictly a OLB prospect and many teams may balk on him. He has a chance to be there, maybe not a guarantee, but certainly a chance.

I was thinking about taking a Punter or Kicker but this years class isnt very good, sort of average to me. I think the best Punter will be drafted somewhere in round 6 maybe even at the earliest the end of Round 5. I dont always like to take a Kicker or Punter but I dont disagree that its not a bad idea.

I am not to sure about getting a back with Tebow now on the roster. I think we need a 3rd down RB badly but I am not so sure we find anyone at our pick who can be effective (I dont think Doug Martin falls to us and David Wilson is someone I love). Sparano may have a "guy" in mind but I just dont know who, maybe Bernard Pierce? I am just not sure.

    Thanks for the comments BakerMaker.

Adams over Martin is a no no

Paige-Moss is an ass clown who wont get drafted.

Everything else is solid, like the Johnson and Sanu picks

I disagree with a few things in the first round part. I think Kuechly goes higher even though he doesnt have great positional value. Also I'd think the Titans would be hard pressed to pass on a defensive lineman if both Cox and Mercilus are still available
