The Pro Football Hall of Fame Seniors Committee named former Houston Oilers linebacker Robert Brazile and former Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Jerry Kramer as senior finalists for the 2018 Hall of Fame Class. F*ck the HOF.
Fuck the Pro Football HOF, he's already a hall of famer: .http://www.polishsportshof.com/?page_id=477
Jerry Kramer is overdue, and "Dr. Doom" is a legit choice. I would put Klecko between the two, but it's not like those guys don't belong.
I thought Jerry Kramer was already in. He should have been the first year he was eligible. It just goes to show how effed up the sportswriters are and those who vote for the HOF. I don't remember that much about Brazile except he was good, but I don't think he was anywhere near as good as Klecko.
____ the HOF voters. Ken Stabler narcing on that reporter he hated, is one of the funniest things I've heard. It may have kept him out of the HOF but somebody needs to do that with Mehta.
Robert Brazile over Joe Klecko I think it's pretty clear now Klecko is being blackballed for some reason

Simply a disgrace. Klecko deserves better from the HOF. If they gave votes to the guys that faced him in the trenches...he would have been there years ago.
How much would it cost to get all the Kapernick protesters out to Canton for a day or two?..,. They might as well protest something worthwhile......
Klecko is one of those guys who meets HOF criteria, maybe not overwhelmingly, but he does meet the criteria. A pro-bowler at 3 different positions, four time pro-bowler, and 2 time All-Pro. All that and a class act.
Poor Klecko, guilty of being a Jet no respect! Robert Brazille was a great LB and Jerry Kramer was one of the greatest OL in history both deserve to have been enshrined already also...
The Oilers were my #2 team until they moved to Tennessee. They're a distant second to the Jets, but Bum Phillips is probably my favorite coach in NFL history (not like the Jets offer a lot of competition there), and Earl Campbell and Ken Houston will always be two of my all-time favorite players. Just to fill some of you in, Robert "Dr. Doom" Brazile was taken by the Oilers #6 overall, and the team immediately switched to the 3-4 defense. Brazile was named Defensive rookie of the year, and is widely credited with turning the OLB position into the pass-rush generator in the 3-4 (look at the 70's Steeler's and Dolphins 3-4s--they got pressure from their linemen and used the LBs for coverage and run-stuffing). He went on to record 7-straight Pro Bowls, 5-straight All-Pro seasons, and appeared in back-to-back AFCCGs in 1978 and 1979. He is still #2 all time in tackles for the Oilers/Titans and also recorded 13 INTs, so he wasn't just a pass rusher. He was named to the NFL's 1970's All-Decade Team, along with Dick Butkus, Jack Lambert, Bobby Bell, Ted Hendricks, and Jack Ham--all of which are already in the HOF. He's been on my list of "Should be in the HOF" guys for a while, along with: Joe Klecko L.C. Greenwood Jerry Kramer Chuck Howley Winston Hill Lester Hayes Cliff Harris Jim Marshall
Joe, thanks for this!!! I am in process of writing to each and every one of these asshats. I urge every single member of this board to do the same, and if any of you read and post on other Jets fan sites, I urge you to post the list there and urge those posters to write as well. Incidentally, some of the email addresses don't work. The only ones that did are McClain, Miller, Czarnecki and Miklasz. Following is the letter I sent, with the exception that I added the first sentence for Rich Gosselin. *** Mr. Gosselin, In my opinion, you are one of the most respected sports journalists in the country, and I am writing to you to urge you to correct a great injustice. I am writing to voice my displeasure regarding your committee's failure yet again to elect Joe Klecko into the NFL Hall of Fame. Your committee's negligence is a disgrace. I'm sure that I don't need to tell you that Joe Klecko is one of only two players in the history of the NFL to be selected an All Pro at 3 different positions. He was one of the most dominant DL of his era. Dwight Stephenson, a HOF C said that Klecko was one of the two best interior linemen he ever faced. He said that Joe had perfect technique and was the strongest player he ever faced. Stephenson also said that Joe was right up there with Bruce Smith, Lee Roy Selmon and Fred Dean. All three of those men are in the Hall of Fame, and Joe should be as well. HOF OG Joe DeLamiellure said that "You can't think of his ten-year period without him. I had to block Joe Green and Merlin Olsen when I was playing, and believe me, Joe Klecko was equal to those two guys. If Joe Klecko had played one position for ten years, he'd have been considered one of the top two or three players at that position, whichever one it was. (emphasis mine) There's not another player who went to the Pro Bowl at three different positions (Frank Gifford did). You take a defensive and put him at nose tackle and he's just as good there, that's a great player. We need to get Joe Klecko in the Hall of Fame." Joe should have been elected to the HOF years ago. It is obvious that some sort of anti-Jets bias is at work. I urge you to lead your committee next year in right the injustice that has been done to Joe Klecko. As long as you keep him out, the HOF is disgraced. It is unbelievable that Jerry Kramer was just elected this year. He should have been elected the first year he was eligible. It is also a joke that Robert Brazile was elected over Joe Klecko this year. Please speak with the other committee members and pledge to right this wrong and elect Joe Klecko into the NFL Hall of Fame where he belongs. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Craig Collins
Joe Klecko was an effing beast ! He played 3 positions on the defensive line and excelled at them . Did not matter if he was double teamed the guy was great ! For those of you that are too young to have seen him play you really missed out . The guy played the run and pass great ! In one game they called a stunt and that knucklehead 99 did not do what he was supposed to but did his own thing, they called the same stunt again and 99 messed up again and Klecko supposedly told him if he did that again he would kill him,,,I paraphrase but u get the gist . Loved Joe Klecko one of my favorite Jets , right up there with Freeman Mcneil and Wesley Walker,,,honorable mention to Bruce Harper
Why am I not surprised? It's total bs already. Here's what I think about the HOF . . . Winston Hill should've have seen it when he was alive. Still dead, still hasn't seen it. I don't even think Klecko cares anymore, and that he has kinda resigned himself to the fact that it's a total tool job. At this point, I'm fairly convinced that both inductions are never coming. Here's my letter to the committee, joe: BITE MY MONKEY BUTT. Succinct. I'll print out 73 of them with two more for good luck. $36.75 in stamps well spent. However, it's the Jets, so they'll probably all wind up in the dead letter office.
