I'm already devising a plan with my 9 year old to make sure my wife doesn't find out I bailed on homeschooling to listen to this.

Can you talk about the way your staff has navigated the off season program?

    - Smoothly as it could go under the circumstances.
    - IT folks are doing great. Microsoft Teams has been great.
    - Able to hash things out with draft.
    - Coaches have been doing coaching sessions and meetings.

Becton started 21 games at Left Tackle, is that enough to come in and make an impact. How much are we relying on Fant to start?

    - Becton played left and right tackle based on formation. So he would be playing RT on the strong side...
    - Seeing him play LT at every snap this year gave us great confidence that he can play AND switch to RT when needed.
    - Fant is going to be a great fit in our zone run scheme with his mobility.
    - Excited about both of these guys in our system.

Lot of holes to fill that you had to deal with and we still have holes....thoughts on Clowney, Logan Ryan?

    - These FAs that are still available have been scouted by our staff.
    - We have had discussions about the two guys you named .
    - There will be opportunities going forward to improve this team. Lot of avenues to add depth.
    - We are excited to add Frank Gore today to add quality depth to our RB room.
    - We will continue to be adding quality characters to the locker room.

Any concerns with 4 new starters on the line, in terms of chemistry, not being able to practice in person?

    - We are going to need to get on the field to build that chemistry.
-Sooner we get on field, the better for us.
-Only 3 OL that were on the roster last year.
    - Confident once we get the OK and can get on field, we will get the chemistry right.

Are you going to move forward always addressing positions of need?

    - We are always going to priority OL and DL.
    - It all starts up front and we certainly are going to fill holes on our roster as soon as possible.

Signing frank gore, what does that mean for the rest of the RB room?

    - We're really excited about the chemistry Gore will bring to the RB room and locker room.
    - Great work ethic, true pro. Will really help Perine, Dickson...young guys in setting example moving forward.
    - Person of his caliber and relationship with coach Gase in Miami is a big reason he's here.

Position that has plagued us in the history of the Jets is TE. We've dedicated so many picks on TE and still can't get it right. It seems like we've stayed put in the draft, how do you feel like the TE room moving forward?

    - Very excited about TE room.
    - Often times when they talk about our team, they talk about how Sam went down and the other injuries, but most do not talk about Herndon.
    - Chris is a player that we were very excited about through the draft process through what we brought.
    - He was the #2 TE in explosive plays as a rookie.
    - Having a young TE like Chris to grow with Sam is really important.
    - Wesco and Griffin are good pros who bring toughness and athleticism to the position.
    - Brown can play every position on special teams and can get open on anybody.
    - Good depth.

Using the 4th round pick on Morgan as opposed to someone who can contribute right away, instead of signing a vetran...take us through that thought process.

    - Drafting James was an exciting moment for us in the draft.
    - We felt this was the right opportunity to bring in a young QB that can come in a develop with Sam .
    - he has the right leadership and attitude.
    - QB is the most important position in all of professional sports. So if we have the chance to draft a player who has the chance to become a starting QB in the league, we will always pull the trigger on that.

    Talk about the UFA WRs

    - Two sleeper candidates.
    - Cager is a big strong, physical WR and had a big game against the first round pick CJ Henderson in their match up last year.
    - George from West Virginia can run by just about anybody.
    - Both will have an opportunity to compete.

How are you looking to build the future salary cap wise going forward? will you commit to Sam, Jamal and what about committing big money to the Rb position going forward?

    - Next year we will have more flexibility to have more salary cap space to be more aggressive.
    - Our mission is going to be to draft, develop, and resign our own guys.
    - We want our guys to stay here.
    - Obviously we have a couple of young guys here that fit the mold.
    - Next year we will have more space to get deals done.
    - We are always going to put ourselves in a position to be financially responsible.
    - Right, player, right price is our mantra on all positions.

Brutal question about Bell and Gore.

Why did we sign Gore to take touches away from Bell if Bell is going to be gone in a year? Why not wear Bell out and get rid of him?

    - Adding depth and competition to the RB is key.
    - Perine is back that can help in many facets from ST to the pass game.
    - Gore move does not hinder any younger player's development.

Any plans on bringing veteran WRs to the room?

    - We have been discussing the right opportunity.
    - We've been discussing several avenues and moving forward if there's the right veteran available, we will look at that.

How are you keeping the young guys cohesive in this environment?

    - The players are excited to see each other on the virtual meetings.
    - We are trying to keep the players engage with constant dialogue and back and forth in virtual meetings.
    - Obviously where we really build the bonds and chemistry is when we are able to get together physically.
