Payton went 7-9 3 years running with Drew Brees leading the NFL in passing over that time.

Parcells never did anything remotely that bad and neither did Harbaugh.

Cool. I'm down, I'd like him to be our coach as well

Wouldn't it be Billy Boy? He has to be considered the best coach in football.

Whenever I hear that I always think it’s a little hacky. A total ripoff of Miami players referring to “The U”. Except, when you play in a helmet with a big U on the side, there’s at least some style and sense to it. Pretty much the same thing that happened more recently with Miami’s turnover chain - an absolutely brilliant idea that has since been ripped-off by a slew of teams. (Although, I do have a guilty appreciation for Memphis’s Ric Flair Turnover Robe.)

You should be happy about all this. If the Jets have a terrible 2022 season, it sets up perfectly for targeting Jim Harbaugh. His situation now is a partly a product of his own 2021 success and partly because he was also too cute for his own good. Harbaugh was wrapped up in CFP preparation through January 1st and then had to immediately pivot into recruiting through Signing Day on February 2nd. So, when NFL teams were all looking for their next great coach, Harbaugh had to either jump into the NFL hiring process with both feet or be a dedicated UMich head coach. No way he could do both. Simply teasing the rumormill was fun, but unconvincing. Once all the decent NFL openings were filled, Michigan realized that they had him by the balls. No reason to throw gobs of money at him to stay. These days, I imagine Jim Harbaugh is rightfully pissed. I doubt he'll let opportunity pass by two years in a row.

Yes. That and that the Vikings screwed up badly and the Fins got embroiled in scandal at exactly the wrong time.

I'm really glad he didn't go to the Fins. A 4 year mini-dynasty there would have been devastating for the Jets.

He's under contract for next season. Not going to worry about this again until something changes at Michigan.

I'm a Wolverine fan almost as much as a Jets fan and I have liked what he's done to right the program.

Michigan just flipped the power structure in the Big Ten. Now they're the team to beat and Ohio State is the challenger. That's what two huge wins in two years will do.

Two runs that would have made Breece proud.

The committee might throw the kitchen sink by way of bad refereeing at TCU. They’d love to get Ohio State in there to create a rematch.

I think the committee really wants to find a way to make it: Georgia, Michigan, TCU, USC.

That's regional balance and would probably drive up viewership of the games the most. It's where things stand now and the committee probably just wants to freeze things after next week.

I think they’d easily put Alabama or Ohio State in over TCU if they get the chance. Regional balance or not, OSU and Bama obviously bring a lot bigger national presence to the table.

Anybody think getting smacked on a national stage by TCU would make him jump ship?

I think he is more likely to leave Michigan if he wins than if he loses. He has said a Super Bowl is the biggest prize in football but he also clearly wants to win a National Championship at Michigan.
