    Hey fellas....

Here's my latest mock draft. I hope you enjoy it.

    ---------------------

We need line help the most. We just cut Mawae (more politics than actual play), we have no right tackle, and Moore and Jones need serious competition to upgrade the quality and depth of our line. We hear about Katnik, but we need another center as well.

As we get closer to the draft, our #4 pick will gain value, especially if on draft day, if Leinert, Brick, or Williams is there for the taking. I'm a big proponent of trading down unless we get Leinert at #4. Why? I believe in Adrian Jones at left tackle, and think he can be the "next" Brick but much, much cheaper (remember, Brick actually has more experience playing left tackle than Jones - if Jones had 3-4 years of college starting experience at LT, he would've been a bonafide 1st rounder too). Williams is a great workout warrior, but I don't see Julius Peppers to be honest with you. He is a freak though.

If Leinert is not there, trade the #4 pick to Denver for the #15 and #22 pick. Let Denver pick whomever they want (Williams, Hawk, Davis, Brick
etc.) and our draft goes a little sumthin like this:

    1st Round
    #15: Bobby Carpenter/OLB (STARTER)
    #22: Gabe Watson/NT (STARTER)
    #29: Nick Mangold/C (STARTER)

    2nd Round
    #35: Ryan O'Callaghan/RT (STARTER)

    3rd Round
#71: Daryn Colledge/LT (Backup with Starting Potential 1-2 years)
#97: Omar Jacobs/QB (Starting potential in 2-3 years)

    4th Round
#102: Deuce Lutui/OG (Starting Potential PERIOD; can push Moore)
#116: Jeremy Trueblood/RT (Nice backup; nasty but average starter)

    5th Round
    #133: Matt Bernstein/FB (STARTER)

    6th Round
#163: Mike Degory/C (Starting potential in 2-3 yrs; great backup)

    7th Round
#194: Michael Robinson/QB-WR (Project pick, has to find a spot but excellent physical tools)

    JetsGoFar's 2006 New York Jets

    C Mangold/Katnik/Degory
    RG Moore/Lutui
    RT O'Callaghan/Trueblood

I like the focus on OL but I think you may have gone a little overboard. 6 players is a little much because we have other needs...Like backup LB! LOL. You picked Carpenter way too high plus, I'm not to fond of him, but we need to draft at least two LBs because there is no one behind Vilma, Hobson and Barton right now besides Chatham and maybe McClover but who knows what he will be like after his injury. And if we have 3 picks in the first round, we better take an offensive playmaker because we need one. Either one of the RBs, or maybe Chad Jackson.

Also, what gives you reason to believe that Denver would want to trade down?

If the broncos trade us their picks that would be stupid for them cause they want Vernon Davis they are not going to pick a te with the 4th pick i think these would be more realistic

    1st Round
#4: D'Brickashaw Fergersun or Mario wiliams
#29: Nick Mangold C or Bobby Carpenter LB (depending on how fast they wanna get to the 3-4)

    2nd Round
    #35: Marcedes Lewis TE

    3rd Round
    #71: Brodie Croyle QB
    #97: Charles Gordon CB

    4th Round
    #102: Devin Hester ATH
    #116: Maurice Stovall WR

    5th Round
    #133: Specer Havner OLB

    6th Round
    #163: Julian Jenkins 3-4 DE

    7th Round
    #194: Michael Robinson QB-WR

God. I hate fantasy trades in mock drafts.

All the people who do mock draft trades only benefit their own team.

I'm with Rambo...we need lots of help on the line, but 6 picks is a lot. I love Bobby Carpenter, but I don't know that we need to spend a 15 on him--I think best value for he and Watson would be to swap those two (ie, Watson at 15 and Carpenter at 22). Other than that, I'd be pretty happy with this, although I'm not a huge Omar Jacobs fan.

6 offensive lineman? We have a need there but damn 5 offensive lineman in the first 4 rounds isn't very smart. Give me Lawson instead of Carpenter, Whitehurst instead of Jacobs, Lutui is a good pick but will be gone in the 3rd and maybe the second, so for one of these fantasy mock drafts I guess he can go at 71, and as a Penn State fan I like the Robinson pick and I believe his best fit is at safety.

That would probably make my heart stop if we had a draft like that. Amazing though my one criticism is that I don't think Hawk will fit our new scheme so I'd rather have someone else at #4, but I wouldn't hate having Hawk on the team.

i would love Darryl Tapp in the 4th round but hes not fast enough to be lb in the 3-4 and is to small to be a 3-4 de.
I think Hester would be a steal at in the 4th round hes not a corner i think the jets should pick him and play him at rb or wr.

Out of that 3 way trade only Denver IMHO came out of that on top , whilst its great to have another 1st rounder Abe is going to be a maasive loss to the team and not the cap , so I see this as really 2 steps forward and 1 back.
What everyone else said about O linemen , also No quality in WR , LB or DE
