Jets would have to trade their 1, 2, and two 3's to get Watkins...

According to Mehta, the move from 18 to 5 requires that (assuming Watkins is at 5).

The first round picks wash away, and there's a good chance they miss on at LEAST one of the next 3 picks (let's say they miss on one of the 3rd round picks). That leaves the Revis pick, and another draft pick. You can kinda look at the Revis pick as expendable.....so then, by my logic and reasoning (which is admittedly a little twisted) you'd only be giving up a second round pick for a sure fire Baller/Playmaker in Watkins.

    Would you do it?

Not only no, but HELL no! The Jets have too many holes and needs. Trading up is for losers that don't know how to run the draft.

Would I give up Marqise Lee or Brandon Cooks plus Jordan Matthews plus a good guard prospect and C.J Fiedorowicz for Sammy Watkins?

Not if I wanted to get to a Super Bowl any time soon.

Fuck no. For a receiver? No fuckin way. If this was the next coming of Peyton Manning, then maybe, but not for a receiver

Haven't we been down this road enough times lately to know that this is a terrible idea?

    My god...

No trade ups. We have too many needs. If we were a receiver away from winning a SB then sure.

Who says we get Lee or Cooks AND Jordan Matthews & a good guard prospect & CJ Fiedorowicz??? Guarantee we do not get the draft to go down like that... Jordan Matthews is probably going to be taken late first round or early second.

They could get it for less than that. I don't care what the charts say, you approach the raiders with something like Swapping Number 1s, our number 2 and next years number 2. Or swapping ones, both of our 3s and next years 2 and they will go for it, I bet... And that's not even trying to get creative by adding players or anything to sweeten the deal.

Either way I'd say go for it. Watkins is the next Julio Jones. This is coming from a Carolina fan that hates everything about Clemson. The guy is the real deal and would be a game changer for this team. I understand not going after him - but if you want this team to ever have a good offense this would be the quickest route.
