IMO should be nothing more then a PS player, he's never done anything in his career, Im reading he's a good cover corner though and is pretty quick but no one who should be able to touch the field anytime soon.

When I first read the headline, I got mixed up & thought Ray Mickens was making a comeback.

Working out a player can't hurt the team. Maybe the Coaching Staff gets lucky & finds a diamond in the rough. As fans, I think we all root for the players without much hype to succeed professionally (except when playing against your favorite teams of course ).

Mickens was a pretty good player at Cincinnati, but the injury really screwed him up. He was probably one of the ten or so best senior corners in the class, but there wasn't much chance for him to shine in the postseason. He probably won't get signed.

I remember people on TGG talking about him as a late-round Jets draft target.

prediction: within a week of signing him he'll be bitching about 'only' being a nickle corner.

This guy is a player & I hope the Jets sign him. As mentioned...that knee injury has hampered him & I haven't seen him play since, but he is a playmaker & good at making interceptions. Was dominant in college. Can do it all...Can blitz off the edge, defend.... He would fit in perfectly as the 3rd CB. Very talented player. I believe Cowboys were 1st NFL team to give him a shot...Look at Willis McGhee...totally tore up his knee in college bowl game, & has comeback & had a good career...:metal:
