The righting is on the wall.. Mac wont want to give up a 4th rounder plus $10+ million in cap space on Harvin. The belief is that the Jets will cut Percy Harvin prior to March 19 (when the Jets will have to give up a fourth-round pick). - Rich Cimini, ESPN
Denver said they're going to franchise DT if necessary. Cobb could very well be staying put. We all know Dez is staying put, as of now Mariota seems to possibly be our guy in the draft, so no possibly amari or kevin white... ehhh... what are we gonna do?? If we were looking for a #1... which percy isn't anyway.. it's starting to seem like that won't be happening this year.
The thread title is trickery Its like being alerted of some news that Percy is being cut while asking the question. Who says Harvin can't restructure his deal? Also isn't he on a non-guaranteed deal now?
If the Jets really want Harvin on that price tag, they should cut him to save the 4th round pick....then resign him to a similar enough deal so you keep the better pick. I can't imagine Harvin wants to help out John Schenider's Seahawks if he is able to land himself a nice deal through the free agency process so that helps out the team.
Right now its probably 70-30 that he gets cut. For the price tag both money wise and draft pick wise it isnt worth it. Id guess that if he is cut he wouldnt want to restructure with us. With so many teams able to spend bigtime $$ this offseason there will be a team dumb enough to give him a similar contract that what he would get if we kept him.
Maclin Smith not #1 but him.and decker could make a good duo Crabtree(wouldn't be happy with that signing) Nicks
As far as I know there's a clause in the deal that doesn't allow this to happen. If he's cut and then resigned we still owe them a 4th. On top of the fact Harvin's agent already said he won't renegotiate. Why would he? He's struggled with concussions his whole career which will likely cut it short if he gets smacked two more times. He won't get this deal on the open market so I imagine he wants to make all the money he can now.
Ya I just kinda threw him on there Only 1 people I'd want from them are Maclin and smith But doubt we get either
smith? which one? I agree on Crabtree I thought about it the other day, would be kind of nice compliment to decker they both run very clean routes but our WR would badly lack speed plus Crabtree been a diva since he was drafted. would have its pros and cons
I'll pass on royal he is more a slot guy and we have kerley I was looking at shorts but he tends to miss games but he can play and has put u decent games with shitty qbs
A name no one has mentioned, and with good reason because this apparently is a new development, is Brandon Marshall. Someone posted this link in the FA thread but I though I would bring it over here. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ands-bears-may-decide-to-move-on-without-him/ I'm not saying the Bears are 100% going to cut him, but if they did, I would be all over some Brandon Marshall
