Signed TE Steve Maneri to replace him. Sucks for Sudfeld, pretty sure Pryor feels bad about it. Oh well. We also put in a waiver claim for TE Wright (Pats TE) but it wasn't enough.
Honestly feel horrible for him getting drilled during a non contact practice. At least it'll get Pryor's dumb ass set straight before he did it to Marshall or Decker.

Freak accident, from the tweets out there it sounded more like Pryor gave him a shoulder and his leg/foot somehow got caught and twisted while he fell down. It was weird. But Pryor didn't knock him out or anything. Still, it was stupid. They said no contact whatsoever. Wonder if the NFLPA is going to come in and bother us now...
Especially since Bowles said no contact. Tom Cable (SEA) is known for being a hardass who wants his players to be physical at all times. Didn't the guy get into fights with his coaching staff in Oakland too? Broke some guys jaw I think.
waiting for a pocket of jets fans to panic bc Sudfeld is gone. it'll prob come in the form of people complaining we don't have a blocking TE.
Obviously very replaceable on offense but he was pretty solid on special teams (led the team with 20 tackles). Between this and Bellore going to San Fran we've lost the 2 best special teamers off of a unit that already sucked. We lost 7 one score games last season, areas like that are where we need to improve to convert some of those into wins. Hidden yardage translates to field position.
Duh, he wasn't an impact player on offense. I'm just noting that our special teams is horrible and he was one of the few that was decent on it.
Not a big loss but I feel for him. I guess Pryor picked the wrong time to start hitting people. Guess will have to wait for camp cuts to be made.

We don't like Patriots players anyway. Ridley still an enemy too til i see him do the little "kick in the door" celebration at the metlife after a TD run. I do like undrafted free agent TE Wes Saxton though.
First thing I thought of when I heard Sudfeld went down. If we keep 3 TE's Saxton could def pass up Cumberland on the depth chart..if given the chance.
I don't understand why Cumberland is still here. He's really not that good. He's just fast for a TE. That wide open TD he caught vs NE and the fruity sword celebration was the highlight of his life.
