Mods, if you want to move this to a different section please do! I am looking for a copy of the Jets-Seahawks game from 1986. I used to have a copy of the game on DVD but it seems to have gone missing since our last house move. I am working on a project and could really do with seeing the game again! If anyone has it on VHS or DVD or even a digital file, please get in touch and I'll be happy to cover any expenses in getting it over to me in the UK. Thanks!
It's kind of nuts that the 1985 game and the 1987 game are on Youtube ... plus every other 1986 Jets game ... but this one game isn't on there.
I know! And it’s even stranger that the game is out there somewhere! It was such an amazing performance by the Jets. Maybe one day I’ll find where I put the damn thing.
Kind of... I'm writing a biography of Ken O'Brien. When it's finished I'm going to ask Petro if I can put a post up announcing it.
So you're saying supporting the Jets is like smoking? That's probably the best analogy I've yet heard.
An update to this: I've found someone who has a VHS of the game and they are transferring it to DVD so hopefully I'll have it again soon.
Chat GPT gave me this "For New York Jets fans, brief moments of happiness often come few and far between, but when they do, they're cherished like rare treasures. Yet, ironically, these fleeting moments of joy can sometimes serve as a double-edged sword, ultimately leading to a lifelong battle with disappointment and frustration. Whether it's a surprise victory against a fierce rival or a promising start to a new season, Jets fans allow themselves to hope, to dream, only to have those hopes dashed by inevitable setbacks and defeats. Each glimmer of success, instead of being a source of sustained joy, becomes a painful reminder of what could have been and what ultimately wasn't. This cycle of fleeting happiness followed by prolonged disappointment can embed itself deep within the psyche of Jets fans, creating a sort of emotional cancer that taints their enjoyment of the sport and colors their outlook on life. Yet, through it all, Jets fans remain loyal, resilient, and ever hopeful, clinging to the belief that one day, their team will rise above the challenges and deliver the sustained success they so desperately crave."
