Don’t overthink it. All they are saying is they are not officially announcing the McGovern etc signings because they players haven’t taken physicals.

League directive. No teams are suppose to make announcements on their official twitter page right now. vikings made a similar post yesterday

 

Please everyone breath and stop the surging excitement. This is only because of the virus, a lot of teams are posting something like this. The players haven’t taken physicals so the signings cannot be officially announced.

 

Coincidence, not to mention OBJ doesn’t even look like that anymore.

 

I wouldn't read too much into it. Just players who have agreed to contracts, but haven't taken physicals.

 

I actually think you may be under-thinking it. They wouldn't tweet something like this if it was just about the McGovern signing. They are foreshadowing something bigger

 

So the George Fant signing isn't official yet? Fuck!!!!

 

I think whoever runs the Jets social media account knows exactly what they are doing.

 

Did you not read? Most teams have, and the rest probably will tweet something similar because no team is announcing signings. Have fun hyping yourself just to be disappointed. If they re-sign Robby or something, they have nothing to do with each other, so don’t come at me with that.

 

So do a dozen kids at my school, I'm gonna sign them all to contracts just in case.

 

My first thought was the Jets wanted to avoid any chance of a recurrence of the Barr situation last year. It makes sense that it would be due to the corona virus and no official announcements allowed yet.
