It'll be Franscesa so he'll work in the fact that he and strahan didn't get along, and talk about how the yankees are done.

Honestly, this was a better interview than Michael Kay's

Not to mention Mangini basically refuted that stupid article about how his and Favre's relationship will sour. Mangini basically said I'll be your bitch to Favre ["I dont know how to fish, hunt or cook creole, but I got a tent, lures n shit, some pans and we'll do it together..."] Mangini said.

i'm a young dude myself, 25, and mad dog would always say jets fans were typically younger and immature. this was something I didn't want to believe, but the large amount of comments i've read about mike & dog and comments about Franscesa's weight are truly immature. I'm embarrassed that so much of it comes from this board.

That said, Franscesa gave Mike T. Favre and Mangini a great interview. Especially Mike & Eric -- he knows how to phrase questions to those guys so that they actually give a somewhat substantial answer ... whereas most others will ask the questions that if you knew anything about this FO, you'd know they aren't going to answer directly. Very cool reporting from the FAN today!

I thought Madd Dogg was an annoying hating piece of turd... I Like Francessa better and he put together a good interview with favre and mangini.

    a) Francesa and Russo are both outstanding at what they do.

    b) very interesting point by Francesa today at Hofstra, that the Jets were in it for John Lynch (didn't know that) and how they are going for it.

It's not hard to be better than Micahel Kay, Kay doesn't know whether a football is pumped w/ air or stuffed w/ feathers(Istole an old Parcells line).

I taped it on YES and wacthed the interviews last night, overall a good job. I hate how he makes it about himself at times especially w/ that nonsenical point about housing on LI. We all know it's expensive but makes it seem like multi millionaire players(that make alot more than he does yet he has a beautiful, big house on LI) were afreaid of the jets b/c of the epensive housing and now that it will be a little less expensive in NJ that should help the Jets.

Francessa brings himself into the interview because he conducts these types of interviews as two people just talking. Letting the players be themselves. He mixes in the straight forward questions. The players are more apt to answer questions when they are comfortable. Also, those LI housing issues were relevant because all the players are moving to NJ with the opening of the New Training facilty.

He had Kerry Rhodes and Darrelle Reavis on, giggling and talking about baseball. They just finished a 2 1/2 hour practice.

I understand what he does, by bringing himself and mentioning his Hamptons house it did nothing for the interview. it's not about him but he madde it about him and crowed about how he could afford to live on LI and have a Hamptons house yet NFL players couldn't afford it:eek:hmy:

The housing is an issue now BUT that line is BS about the Jets not being able to attract FAs b/c the housing was too expensive on LI yet someone line Francesa who doesn't make nearly as much as a quality NFL FA can somehow afford to have a big house on LI. It was just his way of telling us how great he is.

Mike and the Dog's biggest strength -- and the thing that put them waaay ahead of everyone was their interview skills -- especially of "old players."

Things like: 1978, third game of the season, 3 and 5 from the 34 and you ran a draw, what were you thinking in that sceNARio."

Ive heard many guys they were interviewing or said, wow, howd you know that.

Francesa did a good job; I'm glad that he replayed all the interviews.
