The New York Jets announced Monday they have signed defensive end Andre Wadsworth. The announcement was made by Jets General Manager Mike Tannenbaum. Wadsworth, (6'4", 272) spent three years with the Arizona Cardinals after being selected third overall in the 1998 NFL Draft out of Florida State. In 36 career games (30 starts), Wadsworth registered 119 tackles and eight sacks. Is he any good?
No, but he has absolutely no risk. If he is good great, if he sucks goodbye. This is TC fodder nothing more at this point.
i like the pft quote..."That's six years out of football, folks. Six years. If he can make it all the way back, it's time for another Disney movie."
This is right out of the Parcells book. Bring in enough former big time talent for a troubled spot, and w/ our quality coaching, someone is bound to stick.. Keep in mind the guy was solid his rookie year and then sustained injury after injury. No one ever questioned his talent, or no one should at least. He just could never stay healthy and played for a franchise notorious for submerging top talent into medicority.
I looked up his name, and damn, its already in Wikipedia that we signed the guy. They work fast over there  edit:
whoa whoa whoa - he is NOT a bust. He had injuries. Bad ones, so abd Ican't believe we signed him, BUT his problem was injuries, not sucking.

injuries. You don't know about this guy? Famous bust draft pick out of FSU. Was out of the league, too, but showed interest this offseason in getting back into the NFL.
