Roster is improved but it comes down to Wilson. We're not sniffing the the wild card if he doesn't elevate his game. Plus this is still a bottom 10 defense roster (obviously not complete yet)
I could see Ruckert, Dulcich, Otton, Turner, Kolar, Lively, or Woods. Both Uzomah and Conklin are excellent blockers as well as good receivers. The Jets could opt to add a TE who's more of a receiver than blocker like Dulcich, Lively, Kolar or Turner, or they could look to add more balanced TEs like Ruckert or Otton. I don't know much about Woods except he's big.
Ferguson as well, blocker and catcher, he seemed to be getting on well with our TE coach at the senior bowl as well.
NC's clips above show moves, hands and blocking. Looks like an excellent pickup. Here's some thoughts about him from a Vikings page. https://thevikingage.com/2022/02/13/minnesota-vikings-tight-end-2022/3/
Count me in for wanting solid TEs over the years and definitely one of the most underrated positions that the Jets often overlook at. TE helps not only the the young QBs but get Lefluer to open up deep threats.
I share this sentiment but all reports seem to indicate that the Jets do not feel this way, which is why I left LB out. I hope we add a depth piece in FA or a Day 3 pick at LB.
Still shocked JD was able to get a 6th for him. Dude could sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves, ala Big Tom Callahan.
Jelani Woods tested off the charts at the combine and ended up scoring a 9.97 RAS which is ridiculously high. His 9.97 is better than Vernon Davis' score from back in 2006 (9.94). I think he would be the perfect late-round flyer since we have Uzomah and Conklin on board.
