Why are people saying this increases the chances that the Jets get DeSean Jackson?

Is he going to ask to be traded to the Jets because he loved playing with Vick so much?

Definitely a double edged sword, on one hand he is a phenomenal play maker, on the other he only played a full season once.

Or even worse, that other skinny dancing prick who hated us from Miami bc we made him cry. Good signing and contract. Brings in the Vet to push Geno, at worst Geno is in better shape year 3 by learning year 2.

Agreed. There is an upside because guys will play hard for Vick...we saw it in Philly. It's odd but he commands a lot of respect from guys around the NFL. The younger players grew up watching him at VT and in ATL so he can be an immediate leader in the locker room.

Not really a fan of Vick, but he'll be fine if Geno can't go. I expect Smith to start, but if he falters, or if he gets hurt then Vick will come in to play.

I think it was a good move for the Jets. He's way ahead of anyone else they have, and I think he does make the jets a tougher match.

But I doubt NE fans are gonna get all nervous at this point. be really interesting if they were to sign D-Jax too tho!

No, but if Philly is looking to deal him and the Jets were suppodly already interested, you'd have to think this would make him even more attractive to them.

2013/2014 season sucked, then he got hurt
2012/2013 season wasn't good, then he got hurt
2011/2012 season was okay, fumbled a lot, interception was up, then he got hurt
2010/2011 season was okay throwing wise, fumbled a lot, then he got hurt

Those are the only seasons worth mentioning since he came back from his time in jail. So let's review: Throws nearly as many interceptions as touchdowns, fumbles a lot, gets hurt a lot, not very smart, is old so he won't drastically become a better QB.

Basically a mediocre QB who can't teach because his only saving grace is being a rushing QB.

Wow. I'm surprised he would rather take a bone-crunching hit than a 1/1,000 chance of hurting his ankle.

Geno should be starter wk 1; if he struggles like he did weeks 10-13 of last year you then go too Vick. We aren't trying 2 go backwards here
