Enough already with moving up or picking at number 4 . No matter what jets get for abe i say trade down and stockpile picks . If you look at the pats they are solid everywhere , we will be the same way and i think that depth wins championships . Tell me what you think guys

I think the Raiders would like to move up. Especially if Cutler is still there.

And what would you ask them for the 4th pick?

I could see us trading Abe to Denver for one of their first round picks.

If it were possible, I'd prefer a trade down. The salary cap is screwed, in the sense of the Jets' situation and the CBA. I just can't see us getting from $23M over to being able to sign a #4 overall pick.

Trade down and take Vernon Davis. Instant playmaker on offense. Makes whoever is manning the QB position instantly better.

I'd worry more about OL, QB, RB, etc. before TE.

Here is my best case scenario- We trade down for one of the big ass OLinemen. Make them a RT. With the extra pick take another OLineman, maybe LG. Then, if we trade Abe for a late 1st rounder then we can go out of the box. Tight end for example. There a several studs in this draft at that position.

I agree, but if we get another 2nd rounder from trading down, and another first rounder for Abe, we can address the line with later picks-- Also, remember that Tight Ends are responsible for blocking as well, and Davis looks like a sick maniac when blocking. He will instantly be better than Baker or jolly in all aspects of the game. This will allow us to let Baker walk, and hopefully cut dearth since we also have Dressen. I like those three, but I certainly see your point of addressing other needs first. I'm just kind of playing Devils Advocate.

If we trade down, and DeAngelo is still on the board, it would be a great move.
