thejets are not willing to pay big bucks to cannon fodder free agents.for example[runyon].they have to roll the dice on the draft.successful teams build thru the draft.looking for short term free agents will not bring success to the jets.if a team is contending and has a chance to win their division.it's okay to fill in with a free agent who may be a key to winning a division title.the best eay for the jets is to draft players who will grow together and create a chemistry between themseves.I myself as a long time jet fan is willing to wait and watch the jets grow by drafting correctly.
