"I believe he has Pro Bowl caliber talent, but his work ethic is a major concern for me. I know he loves basketball, but not sure if he feels the same about football. The talent? That's a given. He's really, really talented." -- AFC scouting director "You know what? I actually like the kid. I trust what our scouts have to say about him being lazy but I don't think he's a character concern at all. I'm going to fight for him if he's still there in the fourth round." -- AFC executive
Not sure how many times I repeated this but I don't follow college football. But I think it is OK to take a flyer on a guy with potential in 5th round. Let's see if our coaches can light a fire under his butt. Welcome to Jets Jarvin. I hope you can dominate on the field.
Sounds like a complete crapshoot. I always hate when The sentence "he had second round talent but when in the fifth round" applies to someone we've drafted. Those concerns faraway any concern I would have on the field. Every scouting report seems to say the same thing, and NFL network just dumped all over the pick. Would have much rather stayed pat in the third round and drafted Duke Johnson over making the trade to pick this pick up.
Mel Kiper or one of those two had him rated as second round talent,Said he doesn't play up to his potential but if he does he will be a star.I like this pick alot for the 5th round its a steal
I have a feeling McShay LOVES jets picks in this draft. He loves Harrison's makeup and size. Said he can be a star coming out the 5th round. Looks like he needs coaching and work on conditioning and consistency.
"Was late to his own pro day workout" is so bad that it's actually funny. Hope Mac was thorough on this.
Like the sound of it, obviously don't know anything about the kid. Maybe he's a smart dude and he sorts himself out with NFL money on the line.
Reasons like this are why he dropped from the 2nd to the 5th. Absolutely worth the 5th round selection if he can get it turned around which one would think NFL money will motivate him.
