Jets @ Raiders Blacked Out

even when the Raiders were good they were getting blacked out.

I am going to be at the game but none of my raiders fan friends want to go watch the game.


It's kinda sad.

 

Does this mean that it just won't be played in the Oakland market, or will it affect the NY market as well? I don't know the blackout rules very well

FFS, guess this will be the first game I'm going to miss in a while as workable streams are probably going to be nearly impossible to find. Fuck.

 

I think it only affects markets within a 50 mile radius of the stadium.

 

Only in the Oakland area will it be blacked out.

I remember that Sunday Nighter in 2000 in week 15 at Oak, that was their first non-blackout all year and that team would eventually host the AFC Title Game.

 

I wouldn't buy Raiders tickets if I were a Raiders fan. I would be boycotting the team until Al Davis either dies or loses control of the team.

 

yes, it will only affect the Oakland market. You will get the game if your in the NJ/NY area.

 

lol... i have a friend who's a Raiders fan and I basically tell him the same thing ALL the time! Al Davis is killing that team.

 

It just seems like California in general doesn't give a shit about football. Except for San Fran.

 

I usually pick up games at this site. I'll be watching Miami or Jets game on TV at 4pm and then the game that isn't broadcast on this site.

actually I'd get a fan club to pool money and put a hit on Al Davis. that organization is a physical reflection of his own condition.

And I can't blame em. Oakland's stadium is a shithole in a lousy place. Candlestick was kind of tight actually, great atmosphere, decent people. Stadium shows its age though.

 

There were talks that Oakland and SF may go into a stadium together. They are both in the works of getting a new stadium.
