Don't think for a second this Raider game is a gimmie, they have added a ton of parts in free agency and have high draft picks, this isn't gonna be the Raider team we destroyed last season
They still don't match up well against us at all. Their offense will be based on MJD and DMC getting yards and opening PA for either Schaub or a rookie QB. I think we will shut them down in the run game and thus defensively as a whole.
Its all on Schaub though. He's so prone to the real bad mistakes, enough to give up points to our defense. If they add a Watkins, that could be a bit of a challenge for Milliner. They still are a liability stopping the run so barring the NFL Draft, we need to take it to em with Ivory and some of Johnson too. They lost their best DLineman to Chicago in Houston and they didn't replace him last I checked.
Lol,I think this is gonna be a challenge for us they added QB Matt Shaub Wide receiver James Jones, running back Maurice Jones-Drew and linemen Austin Howard, Donald Penn and Kevin Boothe ,cornerbacks Carlos Rogers and Tarell Brown and linemen/pass rushers LaMarr Woodley, Justin Tuck and Antonio Smith .They have a top 5 draft pick as well.I think we will beat them but I think it will be very close
It's a rough schedule no doubt. Opening with the Raiders at home is nice, we will probably get a momentum encouraging win over them. Going into GB after their opener vs SEA will be tough, I wouldn't be surprised if Rodgers tears up our secondary. The next two weeks, both home, are going to very difficult. I think we have a shot to walk out 3-1, and if we can we will have a lot of confidence facing the rest of the schedule. Both the Bears and Lions will test us defensively, but both are weak defensively. If we can stop them in our house, people will be talking about the Jets. Cutler will be throwing it around, but hopefully we can keep it close and pull out a win. The Lions are a little easier, because they don't have someone across from Calvin Johnson. They are also weaker even than the Bears on defense. If we can close out the first quarter of the season 3-1, I'll be excited.
