That's the way it should be. Screw Favre... I'm not comfortable sitting around waiting for him to decide if he wants the job or not. It should be the other way around. Besides, I really like Ratliff and there are supposedly some very interesting QB prospects coming out in the draft.

    In other words....

    Dear Coach Cowher,
Please reconsider becoming the new HC of the NYJ. I'll let you run things the way you want it.
    Love, Woody

Wow, last night Woody had a revelation: HC can actually decide who his QB will be. What a progressive thinker, what an open minded guy. We are blessed to have him as our owner.

Hmmm... Let the Coach choose his QB.. Brilliant!!!!!!!

I guess that's as close as Sideshow Woody gets to an epiphany..

It's like Woody is making this up as he goes along.

Wait, here's another one, "Jets announce they are willing to let the new HC decide if he wants a platinum coffee mug emblazoned with 'Bill Cowher Rulz' on both sides"!

I really hope this isn't true. If it is it just makes this whole franchise look even more stupid than ever.

Opening the door for benching Favre is the smartest move yet as far as I'm concerned.

My God...he IS. That historic-dysfunctional moniker fits to a tee.

That's not the point. The point is it should have been done Sunday when they canned Mangini, not now. Now it looks like desperation. It's just ridiculous.
